    Really enjoyed your review. I hadn't noticed that the slide cycles while safety is on. That's a feature shared by M&P pistols and something I appreciate. Also, thanks for checking the trigger pull.

    Very informative review! Probably the best I've seen of at least 25 video reviews! Interesting about the conversion kits--I had no idea. I would imagine this one could almost be considered an of Italian origins or at least a close cousin to the Tanfoglio Witness. I have a B6P on layaway at my local gun shop ($280) and ordered an additional mag from Cheaper Than Dirt. Can't wait to get this one to the range. Cheers!

    Great video ! Didn't know about the .22 conversation kit , I'll have to look into that .
    I've had my B6P for a couple of years now . Probably have 6 or 7 hundred rounds through it . Never have had any issues at all . I've shot the wide hollow points ( Gold Dots , HST , SIG V-Crowns ) , and even one mag of lead mold bullets . It just works . When I bought my gun from SWVG , they had factory Sar mags for $24 , so I bought two more . so all told I've got $310 in the gun with 3 mags . I'm highly satisfied with it , and I would recommend it . Lot of bang for the buck .

    Recently purchased a new SAR B6. My CZ 75 magazines will not work in the SAR B6. CZ 75 magazines are too short to lock in. SAR B6 magazines are a little longer than CZ 75 magazines. Easy enough to file .050" off the B6 polymer grip so as to accommodate CZ 75 magazines but that might affect the pistol's warranty. Also, the SAR magazines now over insert and stop on the ejector, which some say will create a problem over time. SA Trigger pull on my pistol is 4.5#.

      @darink300zx  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thinman8621 that’s interesting. Do the cz75 mags have a metal or plastic baseplate and what is the capacity of the cz mags, 16 or 17? I know there are some cz75 mags that may not work but I’ve always bought the ones marketed as cz75b mags and they work in all my tanfoglio based clones, like the SAR.

      @@darink300zx One mag is a 16rd metal base Mec Gar. One mag is a 18rd polymer base CZ that came with a CZ 75 SP-01. Both mags work perfectly in the CZ. Both are too short to lock into the SAR. No amount of pounding will seat either mag in the SAR -- they really are too short.

    Yea good review and good history Ullah. I'm weighing in kinda late as i bought mine say 3 months ago. Everything about it i like. Especially the crisp single action trigger. Can carry as you mentioned with safety on OR rack one with safety on, pretty handy. As far as accuracy goes i'm not competition BUT can pretty much core out a target @ 21 ft.. I holds steady and doesn't jump much. Look it's do the job PERIOD. Very comfy for larger hands and weight unloaded say 24 oz. I'll take it all day long. 15+1 Hydroshok 115 grn. 9mm. Actually even 124 grn. JHP Armscor work well too. Xtra mags easy to come by but maybe not original SAR.......

    Question (please): The internal rails on the (polymer) frame of the SAR B6P are polymer or metal?

    • @darink300zx
      @darink300zx  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are little metal inserts within the polymer. Not full length like the metal framed tanfoglios, but not just polymer either. I have seen at least one witness ps where one of the metal inserts popped out and it had to be sent back for repair. In the video, it’s hard to make out but at around the 07:10 mark the inserts are on both sides of the gun, halfway down the frame and at the rear of the frame. The slide contacts the metal inserts and doesn’t slide on the polymer. Hope that helps.

    • @darink300zx
      @darink300zx  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      mulletman2m if this will tell you anything I have over 10 cz75 type guns, and only one is an actual CZ, a cz85. I just find it hard to pay the higher price, sometimes several hundred dollars more, for the actual cz when you have the caniks (s120, t120, p120, etc), SARs, and even the witnesses for so cheap. That's just me though, one thing with the witnesses, unless you get one of the higher priced elite models, you can't easily change out the front sight. So yeah, I don't think they are worth the extra money, but ymmv, and you definitely have better aftermarket support and resale value with the CZ so there's that as well.

      Yeah, I’ve had a tp9sa for a few years now and have always liked that pistol even with my disdain for most striker fired triggers. The shark fc, as far as I can tell was only imported for a couple years by ROX out of NJ. Around the time tristar began importing the caniks, I stopped seeing the rox imports. I’m sure tristar could import a t120 with the compensated barrel like the shark fc, but as far as I know they never have. There really isn’t much difference when shooting the t120 back to back with the shark fc though, they are both very controllable and easy to shoot.

    Hello there from Miami, florida. I know the cz 75b mags work in this gun but I heard that the base plate has to be the flat metal one, not the one that comes with the cz75b mags from mecgar with the blue follower. How does one find the flush fit metal base plates? Or do you buy them seperately? I apologize if this is a noob question I just here conflicting stories. thank you in advance for all your gun reviews.

    • @darink300zx
      @darink300zx  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I've read of others having to do this, but I have not encountered this issue. The mecgar CZ75b 17 rounders (with the plastic baseplate) work fine in my SAR B6P, EAA small frame witnesses, Jericho 941, and all my Tristar caniks. I have read another solution is to remove the baseplate from the magazine and lightly sand the top part of the baseplate to remove just a tad bit of material so that the mag catch engages properly.

    • @ctdvargas
      @ctdvargas 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Darink300zx thank you for the reply. I saw a video where someone said that these mags (Mec Gar MGCZ7516B) work. These are also for the cz 75b but are 16 rounders with a metal base plate. I recently bought two sars and want to buy at least 8 or nine mags but dont wanna invest in the wrong ones. Do you have any insight into these? Funny enough, I saw a forum post you made about turkish shotguns. I think they were discussing the linberta lstac which I own. Small world I guess?

    • @darink300zx
      @darink300zx  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      lol, yeah, that is funny. I still have that Linberta, nice semi auto shotgun. As to the those Mecgar mags with the steel buttplates, I have not used those, so I have no advice one way or the other. I've always just got the 17 rounders with the plastic buttplate. I always figured if they didn't lock in good, it would be easy to remove the buttplate, sand down the side facing the mag body, check for fit, etc. I've not had to do that though, just my thoughts on why I get them.

      I'm not completely sure, but I don't think so. There may be some way to install an ambi safety that's intended for a EAA witness though, but again, I'm not sure. Your welcome. Thanks for the kind words. The PS should serve you well, I have a couple and have had no issues. Thanks for watching and the comment.

    Do you like the SAR better than the Tanfo? I am looking at both

    • @darink300zx
      @darink300zx  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Paul Cote that's a tough question, I like them both equally. If you have no need for the accessory rail (or just don't like it) I'd go with the SAR. Otherwise I'd go with the one you can find cheapest. They are both bargains and I've had no issues with either. Since I generally don't use the accessory rail (and have many that I can use if I do need one) I prefer the cleaner lines of the SAR.

      thanks! I have the compact SAR and it fits my hand perfectly. I didn't know how the larger ones would also fit. Also, some people complained about sharp edges on the SAR but I can't feel them on my compact.

    • @darink300zx
      @darink300zx  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have any sharp edges on the full size either and it fits my hand great, but then most of the CZ75 style guns do. They have great ergos.

      I just got the full size and I compared it to the compact. The compact handle with the baseplate makes the compact handle maybe only 1/4 inch shorter than the full size. I ordered some what I hope are flat baseplates that I hope fit and then maybe will hack the bottom of the handle on it to make it really a compact... not sure if I will do that but going to check it out. I guess if you mixed the compact and the full size, you would get a K2P. CDNN has them cheap and also the CM9 for ten bucks more but the CM9, I am not sure if the grip is small enough for me. But, it has three backstraps. The B6P fits my hand perfectly. Nice and thin grip for a double stack.

    If you had to choose one, a canik, witness, or sar, which one would you get? I'm thinking of getting a cz variant, but i'm not sure which one to go for.

    • @darink300zx
      @darink300zx  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question, disregarding price and availability (for instance the small frame witness, polymer or steel frame is kind of hard to find now), I think it really depends on whether you want polymer frame or steel frame. I'm also assuming you want a small frame witness and not large frame so that you can use CZ75b magazines, so all my references to the witness are about the small frame. If you want steel or aluminum frame then the Canik is the way to go, they are very good pistols and very close to CZs. Cajun Gun Works has some upgrade parts available, if you're into that sort of thing, and there are a lot of different models to choose from.
      If polymer is your thing, the SAR B6p is readily available now that SAR USA is importing them exclusively, and is pretty much a clone of the witness PS, which as pointed out earlier is harder to find. In reality the only thing the witness ps has over it is the accessory rail under the barrel, which some may prefer, but I am indifferent to, just depends on what you want to use it for. For instance, for home defense I'd want that rail for a light. The SAR B6P even takes the witness 22 conversion so you can plink at the range with cheap 22lr ammo.
      As for reliability and dependability, I've not had any serious issues with any of them. I have seen accounts of the SAR and Witness having the steel rail inserts coming loose from the polymer frame and having to be repaired, but at least with EAA not sure about SAR USA, they have a lifetime warranty for the original buyer so shouldn't cost much to repair.
      Lastly, for me, if I had to choose one, I'd probably go with the Canik because I prefer the look and feel of a steel frame gun. The Tristar S120, P120, and T120(alloy frame) are all readily available, less than 400 bucks generally, and are all quite good pistols. As mentioned before, I was focused on the small frame witnesses, but if you did go to the large frame models, you'd get a lot more choices in regards to frames and calibers, with the caveat that large frame witnesses in 9mm won't accept CZ75b magazines and have a slightly larger grip than the small frames.
      Hope that helps, I could go on and on, but I feel like I'm just jumping all over the place. You really can't go wrong with any of them, just depends on your specific likes/dislikes and intended use for the pistol.

    Great info been eyeing this type of gun for a while thanks. Although I've noticed on other reviews of the tanfoglio people seem to have issues with the gun not sighting properly.

      Felipe Rodriguez you’re welcome, thanks for watching. It can be hit or miss with the sights. I’ve been fairly lucky that the elevation is usually spot on with the ones I’ve gotten (other than a .45 witness I had years ago), however, some I have seen need a little drifting of the rear sight to get the windage just right, but that may just be me anyway.

    It's great you have all this experience, but with folks like me that purchased a used pistol,you are flipping through functions without showing how. Like the breakdown, I tried several times with my SAR B6P and could not get the lever out. I also wanted to see the safety lever engagement, since mine is so stiff I have to reposition myself to engage the safety and on yours it was like greased lightning.
    You have different audiences I understand, but we all are not experts...we are trying to figure out if we are spending our bucks wisely... just saying
    got mine out of a large auction in good condition $199.00 plus grouped shipping maybe another 5 bucks with a belt holster. Looked like someones everyday carry, just wanted a cz75 , but could not afford the used ones at auction.

    Just got one a day ago put 200 rounds through it shoots fine love It noticed that if I pulled trigger half way hammer holds that position half cocked then fully cooked if hammer is pulled back I don't like that even on safety it will do it so safety on pull trigger it will pull the hammer back half cocked won't give you a full trigger pull but you have to pull it still don't think that's cool reached out to the manufacturer no response yet on that
