Thanks for posting this - only just looked it up. I think I still have the setlist from this one. It was my last gig with them as roadie (I was 18 at the time and failing my A levels!). I'm visible just to the right of Steve keeping my eye on him and Loz - Pete Plank was on Andy/Mark duty that day. A real highlight of my teens.
My first Reading Festival - Ride were the band I went for as they were also my first gig. Continued with Reading for the next 23 years but 1990 and 92 were my favourites
LIKE.... I WAS READING FESTIVAL 90 ...... I'm thrilled, had never seen or found a video READING FESTIVAL1990 .... 25 YEARS AFTER I FIND A VIDEO OF THIS memorable moment
I can't speak for anyone else but I saw people with video cameras at festivals in the late eighties/early nineties and paid it no mind. So, for me: I did notice but thought nothing of it. Perhaps others felt the same way.... (By the way, security wasn't as prevalent as it became later, so people could get away with a lot more openly) 🙂
Blimey. I was 19 and everyone was hearing 'polar bear' and 'seagull' for the first time. Had to rely on memory and attempts to reproduce the chords until Nowhere. Try that, millennials.

Mark is playing all Fender before he threw some Rickenbacker into the mix. Either way, he loves jangle. Thanks for posting this gem.
Superb trip down memory lane. I think this was the first time (of many) that I saw Ride when I was a 16 year old Indie Kid.
Went to Day 1 of Reading that year. Discovered Ride a month later.
One of a kind. Unique sound - always with me. Thanks boys.

Just a thought... how did nobody notice the tall fella carrying a massive video camera filming this ? This was 1990 after all
