Losing a parent is an unimaginable pain. I lost mine a long time ago but the pain is still there. Please remember that you’re not alone in your grief. Lean on the love and support of your family and friends at home and here, as you navigate through this difficult journey. This video of Dan's always makes me cry. The song is just beautiful, but seeing the pain and will to keep singing in his face just 5 days after his father passed, is just heartbreaking. Thank you for the reaction though. My father passed away 11 years ago and I still feel the same pain from that day. Listening to Dan in this tribute hurts a lot, but at the same time it comforts me. tksss it was special and I cried together.

Very emotional. I cry most every time I watch this one. One thing that impressed me the most was that even though he was visibly emotional, with tears and a quivering mouth, he still knocked it out of the park. Huge Dan fan here. I have to be honest that I’m not an Elvis fan. However, when Dan sings this it gives me goosebumps. I haven’t lost my Dad but he was just diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. I don’t know how much time I have left with him. This song hits even harder now that he’s been diagnosed. RIP to Dan’s Father and your Father❤

God bless you Rick. I lost my father 7 years ago and I still shed tears. The greatest blessing is to have a great father, and I'm happy you and I, and Dan, were blessed with fathers we loved so much.
I can see he gets to you like he did me. He’s is wonderful. Shows such feeling and emotion with his singing. He just grabs your soul. Enjoy him. He is better than the original singers on most of the covers he does. Amen 🙏🏻
