Here is the written pattern: Eye: Magic circle, ch 2, 12 dc (BLACK YARN) Ss with light blue yarn (or other eye color), ch 2, dc inc in each stitch (24 dc stitches total) Ss with white yarn, sc, sc inc, hdc, dc inc, dc, tc inc, dc, dc inc, hdc, sc inc, sc, ss (repeat all of these stitches once more for the other half) Ss with black yarn, sc in each stitch, ss tie off Granny Square: Magic circle, ch2, 2 dc, ch3, 3 dc, ch3, 3dc, ch3, 3 dc, ch3 ss to join Ch 3, (3dc ch3 3 dc) in gap, ch 1, repeat this process in each corner. In the last corner finish with 2 dc and join with the beginning chain 3 Ch2, 2dc in gap, ch1, (3dc ch3 3dc) in corner, ch1, 3 dc in gap, repeat these corners and gaps all the way around, ss. Ch3, 3dc in next gap, ch1 (3dc ch3 3dc) in corner gap, ch1, 3 dc in middle gap, ch1, 3 dc in other middle gap, ch1, corners…repeat this all the way around, ss to close. Sew by placing eye on square, going up and down through the black outline of the eye and wherever the needle desires through the granny square part. Tie and cut off.

I would make about 4 squares, if the head circumference is larger than average, add another row per square
