I’m using PXG wedges and they are super, not many options like Vokey, but fine for me. DTC brand called Edison is very similar in design and quality as PXG, and I also play them sometimes. They’re an expensive premium forged wedge that really works
Yeah those actually sat 6th or 7th on my list. I’ve got a buddy that uses the jaws wedge too as well as the vokey. We both agreed that it was pretty good, but there was something about it that we just couldn’t get along with at the range. Our best guess was that the weighting at the bottom helped with launching the ball, a good thing for most people, but we sometimes like trying to play low nippy shots, and found it tougher to do. Otherwise if you’ve gotten along great with it, I’d say stick with the same brand. Typically I only switch brands if I just don’t quite get along with the set I have and want to see what else is out there.
@@lukemcfarland5040 That’s fair, and I know there are some pros that use raw/black wedges for that purpose, but there are several satin or copper finishes out there that don’t have as much glare as a typical chrome finish. I put the new RTX 6 wedges in my bag for this year, and they have a dulled satin chrome finish which looks clean and has little glare.

Those Mizuno copper wedges do look really good!
Forgot to mention the RTX 6 zipcore, like the Ping comes with better spin in wet conditions. 👍

Got the Ping Glide 4.0s about a month ago. Absolutely amazing spin and stopping power.
Yeah those were pretty nuts with spin. Like throwing darts from off the green sometimes.

Nice review! I agree with you...please stop with the raw wedge trend, they look terrible and it's proven to not add any more spin.
Every manufacturer even admitted that it doesn’t add any spin, so I’m not entirely sure what the appeal is besides reduced glare.
If you live in Florida you better have raw or black wedge cuz the glare is what matters not the spin.

The difference is very subtle, but it’s there. You hear just a slightly different sound that is almost more muted when you hit the ball.
