awesome! been waiting for this for a while
1728x1080 is amazing. Switched a week ago and the extra FPS is huge for me on a 6600xt. Now I am always getting 240ish FPS for my 1080p 240hz monitor.
does ping mess with input delay a lot? i upgraded to the 1gbps plan but there something wrong and spectrum is getting errors from my modem i play keyboard now and I've spent a good 20 to 25 hours in firing range trying to get neo strafing down and just crazy movement that xylas and leamonhead has. but i could only do a neo strafe like 3 times in a row and would lose all momentum or just trying to keep momentum going while tap strafe bunny hoping but just couldn't. my ping on Fortnite like 2 to 3 weeks ago was 25 to 27 and there was like no input delay it was amazing i could edit so damn fast and the game was so responsive what i always wanted i ended up returning the equipment i had to get new ones thinking maybe i messed it up when trying to activate it. after getting new equipment i literally can't play Fortnite anymore i logged on it was at 30 ping so i was like weird but okay then i logged on like a week later i was at 50 ping. then a week later i was at 60 then a week later it shot up to 90. and the input delay is horrible. like ill hit my edit and it won't happen for like a second so i haven't touched it in days, on apex its weird af ill open the game ill end up in the firing range and my ping says 35 and will go up to like 44 at the highest but my game will crash in thr firing range ive had that issue for months and still don't know why but when i hop back on and go into firing range my ping will be at 70 to 80 and it goes back and forth ill restart and it will be at 40 then restart it will be at 70. playing in firing range with mouse and keyboard is fine but whenever i get into a real game my mouse like doesn't respond sometimes I'll try to turn but it won't. it's like I'm not even swiping my mouse so ill try to turn it will turn a little and stop. or it will feel like my Sens is negative 1. i downloaded a app yesterday called exit lag. and now my ping is always at 50 in firing range and game every time. and i found my movement feels so damn nice i can keep neo strafing or keep my momentum way more now it's like what I'm clicking is actually happening. and in game it hasn't done the stopping thing or anything and seems to play fine so im assuming it was input delay that was causing me not to be able to neo strafe or play in game because it wasn't processing fast enough.
Thank you for the updated settings, @forbi
1) Nvidia Control panel "optimizations" have been benchmarked and really doesn't do anything on a modern system/windows compared to default. Also, Low Latency mode is irrelevant if you use Nvidia Reflex. It just ignores whatever you've set in NVCP and overrides it.
2) Setup the video settings however you want, close the game, open video cfg, set csm_enabled to 0 and your preferred resolution, make the file read only and thats pretty much it.
3) Dxlevel95 pointless/outdated, -preload pointless/outdated, -fullscreen pointless its literally in your video config file and in-game setting, -high Apex runs on high priority by default so doesn't really matter and you can always double check that through Task Manager.
4)Warning for newbie users : replacing your settings.cfg with his will erase your current keybinds so beware, copy just the individual settings you're interested in.
Peace out.
hey! so basically if your nvida reflex is turned on in game, you should turn off low latency mode in nvcp?
@@Fear_BFG Reflex overrides LLM so it doesn't really matter. I turn it off to be safe in case something freaks out.
really appreciate this, thanks man
@@ayoubbsemchaoui8463 disables most of the games shadows including the enemies shadows but gives you a noticeable fps boost (pretty sure Faide is using it since he doesn't have shadows under dummies in firing range so you probably won't get banned for using it)
nvidia control panel DOES help so i already know you have zero idea what youre talking about lmfao
Man EA app freeze everytime I try to put in launch options, this is so annoying and people on reddit complain about it too and I can't find any solution
anyone got the sauce for like eq settings? highkey want to switch to in ear headphones but haven't found any good audio guides.
i have a 1060 6g with a i5 8600k. been playing apex for 5 years and have always changed/tweaked my video settings (esp nvcp) to squeeze out the most frames possible. I can get 130ish while not in a fight, but have always dropped hard to 90ish. my last major tweak was setting my display to 1707x960 using nvidia image scaling (i have a 2k monitor so im actually bottlenecked by it lol), and seems to be a lot more stable while capped at 112 fps. However, with NIS in the picture now, im not sure what settings are best to tweak now. my main question now is everytime i edit my videoconfig and change nvcp settings according to videos like this one, i worry that they only apply to higher end systems that push max frames with ease, and not be the best for lower end systems. I play on low everything and a lower res and still am not completely stable frames wise. Might just be time to cap the game at 80 fps, but any feedback on that or tips on specific settings in nvcp/config that affect it the most would be appreciated. (sorry for the essay if anyone read this)
the 1060 6GB is definitely hurting you for Apex, especially on a 1440p monitor. It may help to have the monitors native resolution at 1080p as opposed to 1440, but apex is really intense in terms of CPU/GPU usage. changing the priority in task manager may help as well, but if you want to get every last drop of performance, you may benefit from getting the PC optimized as a whole
@@f0rbi forsure man, my thing is ima use it till it dies bc I can’t really throw in a new gpu or CPU without a new mobo as well. And might as well build a new system at that point lol. However, I had some more things to tweak with your videoconfig, along with turning monitor technology to fixed refresh instead of gysnc. I did that and capped at 108 and it’s been noticeably better. Appreciate the reply and vid brother, def got a like and sub from me especially bc I feel Im finally done tweaking video settings.
w thx bro
everytime i try to put the launch options in it crashes
if i want to change my keybinds do i need to do it through the cfg or can i just do it in game
You can just do it in game
how do i change map detail in the config bc everytime i boot it gets resets to high
dude ive been looking for this shit for hours lmao
@@silentz3168 ur profile.cfg might be on read only
set setting.configversion = 8 and set_dress_level = 1 it works for me
G.O.A.T
Yah bro its the best sensitivity i am already using it
How do you hipfire so good you shoot 20 or so bullets. I heard that if you shoot a bullet or 2 then ads then go back to hipfire and repeat that method then your hipfire will be almost pinpoint but you only hipfire for basically a whole magazine and every bullet hits the target how?
if you strafe the oposite direction from the direction you're aiming at you get no recoil.
look up "no recoil apex" and itll explain it in further detail
im getting UCMD icon , i already tried ur settings but seems i cant fix that :/
try to delete the saved games files (settings, videoconfig and profile) I had the same problem and this is what fixed it. :D
use your recommended vram on texture streaming budget, using potato options on cards with 4gb or more will actually give you less performance, you can benchmark it yourself, don't force yourself to play on potato textures, it doesn't have any real benefits
I have 6gb and i have it on 2gb is it better to go higher?
@@donjon3444yea bro go on medium 4g
I have Apex on ea and don’t see the video settings and I checked all the folders , why do I do?
It would be under the "saved games" folder, if it isnt there, launch apex then check again
Copying all settings and becoming budget forbi
autoexec isn't working
Console is just fucked fps keeps dropping and the visuals are just disrespectful sometimes
Its the same as every season man these videos get old also NVIDA CP only makes games and programs perform less instead of a increase
But if you work with this a ton in a profecional setting you know this and people like this guys have clearly no clue
And for people think this is not the case please do some more research then the first youtube video or redit post you see because your to lazy to look for your self and you find out
This video is specifically for Apex, not windows optimizations for Apex. It’s an Apex settings guide, nothing more lol
Apex is the only game I tweak NVCP for, and I can tell you whole heartedly it makes a noticeable difference with performance with some of these settings
First off this dude is putting program settings on his global which is totally wrong
It’s not totally wrong when the settings are meant to apply to every game lmao
