pretty sure the knipex pliers you got look nothing like whatever he had in his video. (knipex pliers are a wrench. they have parralel flat jaws. not the toothed non parralel shit that project farm showed.)
I am a cheap dude, not a tool snob, but I have never had a blood blister from using any Knipex product. That alone is worth the "outrage" price. Sometimes paying double or triple is the best value and cheapest, overall, if you hate paying with blood blisters.
@@darkracer1252 knipex cobra is absolutely the go to model for many professionals. Parallel flat jaws are for bolts, Cobra is for absolutely everything. I use the 180mm version daily.
Hands down best independent testing channel on TH-cam. Thank you for all your hard work Todd. You have saved countless people from spending tons of money on garbage products.
Mechanic here. My favorite by far this year was the Milwaukee high speed ratchets. They're faster than any high dollar pneumatic ratchet I've owned. Surprisingly powerful in tightening as well.
I’ve purchased some of what you’ve recommended and have been very happy with them. But aside from the ‘best deal for the money’, your impact on homeowner safety by using quality hardware must be immeasurable. Great job, as always!
Ever since I started watching PF’s videos I use my space pen to point at stuff now just like he does in his videos. Any time I write with the pen or point to something with it, it reminds me of all the money I’ve saved from PF’s amazing videos. His videos truly are the best consumer information resource on the planet. I can’t thank him enough for the time, money, and effort he puts into this. Frankly, his content is a godsend and I don’t know what I’d do without it anymore. He has completely eliminated buyers remorse from my life and that’s great because buyers remorse is a terrible feeling, especially when you spent a lot of your hard earned money.

The Wiha Centrofix is the best bit holding screwdriver ever made. It holds Japanese and Swiss C6 bits as well as standard shank bits. It puts a death grip on bits making even a 2 foot long bit feel like it’s embedded in a purpose-built screwdriver
I cannot get over how detailed your testing is. Makes purchasing decisions so nice when you run such a wide range of tools through torture tests I couldn't even conceive, all while doing it as scientifically and methodically as possible. Subscriber for life!
Some of these are relatively expensive up front but I like how you prove when spending more money is well worth it. I'd also rather spend my money on American, Canadian, Japanese and European products where I know that there are stronger laws protecting the environment and labor. Good to see how many of these products fit those bills.
Always feel better spending the money if he's checked them out. Knipex is one of the things I've asked my wife for Christmas. I already have one, but it's so good on the tractor I need another for the workshop!
It would be awesome to see a comparison of flush cutters! They are notorious for snapping if used "not as intended" so finding the most resistant ones to that type of failure would be very useful. Love your videos!
I second this. I've used many flush cutters for model kits and have had blades break on the most expensive pairs only cutting plastic 😑 I would very much appreciate finding a tough and effective pair of flush cutters.
I would be interested as well. I've been through many pairs of flush cutters. In my experience, the Knipex have been the best but the Xuron is the best for inexpensive flush cutter.
I would like to see this too. In addition to testing their brittleness, I would like to see how flush each flush cutter actually is. Are they really cutting flush?
Great timing on the video haha, If anyone can't find a great option out of these, the milwaukee m18 is very useful for anyone without a drill yet. After that I think everyone can use an extra tape measure, somehow whenever you need one you can't find it so extras are always welcome (maybe I'm the only one who loses track of tape measures).
I've been using the dewalt 60 on a daily basis for almost 2 years now and I've never had a single issue with it, it's as solid as a rock and does every single job I throw at it with ease, I've used many similar models but nothing has come close for me and when this one finally decides to die I will 100% be buying the same model again, especially after watching this 👍

I enjoy every one of your videos! I am just a home handyman and many of the items you test are not things I need but I still watch because you never know when you may need something you don't own. I have bought several things you have tested and picked as winners and I have been thrilled with each and every one. Twisted works awesome, far better than any other line I had ever used. Looking forward to watching more of your videos and thank you for all the hard work you put in to make sure you take the human element out of your testing. Project Farm is my favorite TH-cam Chanel.

Indeed! I spent hours reading multiple review before I bought mine, as I couldn't find a Project Farm video on this. PS.: please test the Dewalt DCL050 so I can ensure how well was my decision.
Todd, great wrap-up to an amazing year of testing! Thank you for all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to get us this amazing content. Could you do a test of different breathing protection products like dust masks and half mask respirators/filters? Hopefully filtration lives up the NIOSH ratings on all the products, but it would be interesting to see how dust mask fit affects end filtration, as well as ease of breathing new vs after being exposed to sawdust and other particulates. It would also be interesting to see how a 3M 2091 compares to a 7093 for ease of breathing over the life of the filter because documentation is basically non-existent.
I'd love to see you do a comparison of some calipers. How long they last, how accurate they are, how much damage they can take, etc. I'd love to see you sink em in some metal shavings then test how well they work kind of like a workshop setting with grinder dust, etc.
Those Knipex pliers are just monsters. I've had mine for around 5 years and I have 3 pair in 3 different tool cases (I need a clean and dirty set for oxygen works) The grip is phenomenal. However and it is a big however, the quick setting push button slips and sometimes doesn't engage properly and can slip back/forward which is really annoying. Would I buy another pair? Damn right I would! I'd do away with the quick set.. if Knipex did that, they would possibly have the best grips on the market bar none. On the back of that, I've bought all my pliers and circlip pliers being Knipex and they have never let me down in 6 years of everyday usage. You really do get what you pay for!
You're awesome man! Love this yearly update! I am in aviation and we have to use scribes/picks a lot. It would be really nice to know who makes the strongest scribes. Video idea, bought three different brands (long story why) of floating ball antifreeze testers because my son 'borrowed' my 20 year old one. Then I thought of you and tested the different ones in plain water. 2 out of the 3 failed. Only 1 was fairly accurate. Would be interested in which brand is the most accurate. Keep up the great work! I buy almost everything you recommend. You have saved me a ton of money! Thank you!
I purchased the Lansky sharping set in approximately 1979/80. I may be off on the time by a few years but it was a while ago. Never the less I paid approx. $35.00, which was a large amount. But I still have most of the stones. This system has been one of the best tools I have bought. It has never failed to give a super sharping job, well worth the money I paid for it.
Excellent again Todd! Thank you! I can't remember now if you've done a comparison test on cheap (harbor freight type) and really expensive (snap-on type) torque wrenches. If I could pick up a cheap one that was fairly accurate I'd leave it in my RV. Don't want to haul the expensive stuff around.
It's always good to see a tool you've been using for 20+ years get vindication. I'm pretty sure Knipex don't make a bad tool but their grips and snips are truly world beaters.
I have knipex in my shop, that I use in the 3rd generation and they work nearly as good as when my grandpa bought em in the 50s...one day they will hopefully find a place in my sons hands.
Keep up the good work. Love your reviews . I've purchased a few tools based on these. How about testing torches 🔦🔦 ledlenser, olight etc and hello from the UK 🇬🇧 😀
Personally I would like to see rechargeable ones only but only hand torches like the ledlenser P7r etc . Nothing too big just ones that can fit on your belt but not the little EDC key chain ones but they could be a follow up episode i suppose if there is any interest from your viewers. Just a thought
You make the best tool-related content on TH-cam. Consider angle grinders for future comparison. Either cordless or corded (or a mix for the heck of it). Maybe RPM under differerent standardized loads, hand vibration on load, noise levels. Endurance if you manage to get them to fail reliably. Cost vs performance.
WOW I MEAN WOW. Everyone that watches you tube or buys anything tool related would be a fool of u didn't go straight to this man's channel. Best job I've ever seen someone do on there own dime. Thank you for the video. I love your channel and appreciate your commitment and all of the effort you've put into making them. Would you consider testing wire strippers next? I swear I have like 5 or 6 pairs of them now since they get dull quite quickly, and while often times you can still manage to use then, rarely you'd be able to get a clean cut. Thanks again.
I would be interested in seeing a range of open/closed wrenches tested. I liked how you brought in a vintage craftsman adjustable wrench. For the combination wrenches, this would be nice to see as well.
Another great video! Have you thought about testing surfactant coolant additives that are supposed to make water-cooled engines run cooler? It would be nice to see if they are snake oil and if not, which ones work best.
2:22 I love when it’s a relatively cheap tool that anybody can afford(not hundreds of $) and it’s by far the best tool in the comparison - I looked all around and everybody is raving about these Knipex pliers. The fact that it is easily available outside US is also a big bonus.
First off, thank you. You and yours are amazing. Now, I've got an idea for a new test and I'm sure you can run with it. Snatch Straps that are sold widely in most of the world vs. Kinetic Recovery Ropes that have apparently been around for a long while but not as widely known? Are they at all similar to boat mooring lines? IDK. Matt's Offroad Recovery, Bleepin Jeep, Fab Rats, and some more yt channels I'm not remembering are collaborating and putting out great content recently. Earlier this evening, I had an offhand thought about how cool it'd be if your channel also teamed up w/some of them. They're all constantly tooling around on something or another. Breaking things, getting stuck and unstuck, it's great. Back to my orig point.. 4x4'ing is obv popular and I wonder if some of the tools used in it are as widely understood as they should be for everyone.
You're my go to for tools and gadgets. Your test are set up in such a great way to replicate real world applications. Definitely trust your judgement. Thank you! So happy I subbed 😄

I own two sizes of those Knipex pliers, and I will say- they have served me impressively well in a daily industrial setting for the past 11 years.
Thank you!
pretty sure the knipex pliers you got look nothing like whatever he had in his video.
(knipex pliers are a wrench. they have parralel flat jaws. not the toothed non parralel shit that project farm showed.)
I have Knipex diagonal cutters that I use daily to cut music wire, after 5 - 6 years they will flawlessly cut masking tape as if they were scissors.
Thanks and you are welcome!
Mechanic here. My favorite by far this year was the Milwaukee high speed ratchets. They're faster than any high dollar pneumatic ratchet I've owned. Surprisingly powerful in tightening as well.
Thank you for the feedback.
I’ve purchased some of what you’ve recommended and have been very happy with them. But aside from the ‘best deal for the money’, your impact on homeowner safety by using quality hardware must be immeasurable. Great job, as always!
Thanks!
Thanks! Glad to hear!

@@ProjectFarm you know if you copy paste these at the end of the description they show up for everyone and are highlighted in the video bar.
you can even skip to them via ctrl + left/right arrow keys
The Wiha Centrofix is the best bit holding screwdriver ever made. It holds Japanese and Swiss C6 bits as well as standard shank bits. It puts a death grip on bits making even a 2 foot long bit feel like it’s embedded in a purpose-built screwdriver
Thanks for the feedback.
Just the moment I was waiting for.
Undoubtedly the most consistently uploading TH-cam channel, runs like absolute clockwork.
Thank you very much!
I cannot get over how detailed your testing is. Makes purchasing decisions so nice when you run such a wide range of tools through torture tests I couldn't even conceive, all while doing it as scientifically and methodically as possible.
Subscriber for life!
Thanks! Thanks for watching and subscribing.
Some of these are relatively expensive up front but I like how you prove when spending more money is well worth it. I'd also rather spend my money on American, Canadian, Japanese and European products where I know that there are stronger laws protecting the environment and labor. Good to see how many of these products fit those bills.
Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestion.
Please do this - I would like to see you test the CHP tools brand
I would like to see this too. In addition to testing their brittleness, I would like to see how flush each flush cutter actually is. Are they really cutting flush?
Great timing on the video haha, If anyone can't find a great option out of these, the milwaukee m18 is very useful for anyone without a drill yet.
After that I think everyone can use an extra tape measure, somehow whenever you need one you can't find it so extras are always welcome (maybe I'm the only one who loses track of tape measures).
Great point!! Thank you
Well, guess you don't measure up then :-)
I've been using the dewalt 60 on a daily basis for almost 2 years now and I've never had a single issue with it, it's as solid as a rock and does every single job I throw at it with ease, I've used many similar models but nothing has come close for me and when this one finally decides to die I will 100% be buying the same model again, especially after watching this 👍
Thanks for the feedback.
I've been with you since the start of your channel and to see your success over the years is absolutely mind boggling. But every single Subscriber you have, you've EARNED with the level of detail, execution and completely unbiased test results. Well Done my Friend! Cheers! Zip~
Thanks so much!
@@ProjectFarm No my Friend!!! Thank YOU!! I am always predicting the outcome (as I'm sure many others do) and with your tests, I admittedly am only right or close to right about 50% of the time. Just goes to show how important what you do is to the tool community. Zip~
This is the notification I was waiting for. Sundays are always like a mystery box because I always wonder what the topic will be.
Thank you very much!
I enjoy every one of your videos! I am just a home handyman and many of the items you test are not things I need but I still watch because you never know when you may need something you don't own. I have bought several things you have tested and picked as winners and I have been thrilled with each and every one. My favorite was the Twisted trimmer line, I live on a brick street and grass grows up next to the curb so I trim it with every mow. Twisted works awesome, far better than any other line I had ever used. Looking forward to watching more of your videos and thank you for all the hard work you put in to make sure you take the human element out of your testing. Project Farm is my favorite TH-cam Chanel.
Thanks so much! Thanks for sharing.
Dude. Love what you do, and the consistency and thought that goes into making a fair effort in reviewing all these products. Already have changed my toolkit based on your videos.
Thanks! Thanks for sharing!
I’m just going to be sending my wife this video link so she doesn’t need to ask what I want for Christmas haha!
Yessssssss
Nice!
Exactly my thought while watching this vid! xD
Yup same here!!!
I thought the same thing but I already have about half of what's here
I personally really appreciate the testing as well as how it is presented. This video is timed perfectly as it will be shared with family members for holiday gift ideas!
Also, how about a video on torque wrenches, or one on concrete floor epoxy?
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestion.
Nicely done as usual. I especially love and appreciate your tight editing. Have an awesome Thanksgiving. Blessings!
Thank you very much! I spend a LOT of hours removing as much unnecessary things as possible to keep the videos to the point. Thanks again!
Yes! The Knipex is totally worth the higher price. They last forever and making gripping way easier reducing fatigue.
bought many a cheaper model, one job wonders i call them
Superb video as always. Videos like this save a lot of people hard earned money! Thank you!
Thanks and you are welcome!
Hello again Project Farm
Thank you for another Great Video. Have you compared the Gearwrench screwdrivers to the wera and wiha screwdrivers? It seems to be costs wise very similar? Again thank you

I love your reviews. I would love to see a review on leaf blowers... especially their vacuum capabilities and how well they shred leaves and debris.
Thanks for the suggestion.
This is amazing that someone is showing us the cons in the brand world, thank you for you're service
You are welcome!
How about:
Non stick pots and pans
Kitchen knives
Most durable interior paint
Pellet stove pellet fuel comparison ash/heat/price
Best drywall anchors
Best truck bedliner spray
Best brand of sandpaper
Just throwing a few ideas out there. Love the channel and really appreciate all you do for us!
He already did most of the items on your list, you just need to open his main channel page, click on videos and search.
Thanks for this video my Christmas list just got a longer. My 5" angle grinder is starting to wear out, If you did a showdown of cordless angle grinders it would make choosing a new one a lot easier.
You are welcome! Thanks for the suggestion.
I second this suggestion.
Stellar video as usual 🤗 here’s two more video ideas, 1) brooms! I like me a good push broom, as well as a smaller indoor broom. They just never seem to hold up well 🤷🏼♂️
Video idea 2) levels. Torpedo levels, 12in, 18in, and so on.
Just love your channel 😍
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestion.
I wish it was humanly possible to test every single tools in the world and have a big spreadsheet with all the results and finally melt down the marketing BS.
But for now, your awesome channel will have to do. Great job!
Thanks!
I don’t know where to begin. It is the combination of intelligent testing methods combined with your precision filled military type narration made the entire video so riveting and informative. Thank you 🙏
You are welcome!
Video idea : testing work lights with rechargeable batteries , Milwaukee , DeWalt, bosch they all have them .
The very interesting thing would be to test if the lumen output they claim is actually true or if they're overvalued in the manufacturers claims .
Thank you for all the great comparisons, It looks like a ton of work man , respect 👍
Thanks so much! Thanks for the video idea.
Indeed! I spent hours reading multiple review before I bought mine, as I couldn't find a Project Farm video on this. PS.: please test the Dewalt DCL050 so I can ensure how well was my decision.
Heck. Any light video on a lumens per dollar scale. Sick of seeing little Chinese flashlights with a 3.7v battery claiming 2500 lumens and what not.
Head torches, a small wind power generator, small/medium vice, and an electric scooter+electric boat engine.
Right! I chose the streamlight strion switchblade for our next gen std work lite and thought Todd ought to test one.
Thanks and you are welcome! Thanks for the suggestion.
Truly the most unbiased and useful product reviews out there, thanks for all the time you put in!
Thanks and you are welcome!
im glad you said knipex correctly!!!
Thanks!
This channel is what TH-cam was made for. Thank you for bringing us this 5 star content.
Thanks so much!
Not too many men have ever claimed to be up to 1.5 inches shorter than the competition.
Yeah well when you have 60 percent more power.
Not only is this a great holiday wish-list, but it's also cool seeing the results and tests that were done in videos that we might have missed!
Thanks!
Best Gift list out there. You should put Christmas list like this every year.
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestion.
absolutely amazing, you used science to prove what are the best gifts. Thank you so much for this!
You are welcome!
I'd love to see you do a comparison of some calipers. How long they last, how accurate they are, how much damage they can take, etc. I'd love to see you sink em in some metal shavings then test how well they work kind of like a workshop setting with grinder dust, etc.
Thanks for the suggestion.
This is the perfect time for a video like this! Thank you for all the hard work you do 👍
My pleasure!
I do every year but,
This guy is the hero that we needed and we didn't even know about it.
Thanks!
+1 for Knipex. Once I got my first one, I never turned back.
I don't know if I'm quite following what you mean but the Knipex Cobra are the button set grips and the Alligator are the conventional grips.
You're awesome man! Love this yearly update! I am in aviation and we have to use scribes/picks a lot. It would be really nice to know who makes the strongest scribes. Also, Allen keys would be cool too. I can list some others too.
Jeweler screwdrivers
Wire strippers
Air tools, specifically rivet guns
Multitools
Ignition wrench set
Normal wrench set
Geared wrenches
Multi bit screwdrivers
Headlamps
Lockwire pliers
Extensions for sockets
I guess that's it for now. My family loves your content! Keep up the good work and thank you!
Thanks, will do! Thanks for the suggestions!
@@ProjectFarm This guy reminded me, Ive bought over a dozen headlamps and they get expensive! My best one ever was mid range but died after a few years.
Amazing videos though I send these to all my friends.
When buying tools it has always been my policy to buy a little more tool than I need. Grow into it not out of it. This is a great video. Thanks for all the time you spent on this and pioneering the way to better choices.
Thanks and you are welcome!
Please keep your same format for the videos. It works great and makes you seem very unbiased and trustworthy. No click bait, no requests to “please smash that like button” . Well done , sir
Thanks!
One of my favorite go to pliers I bring around with me every where are my knipex adjustable wrench pliers smooth jaw. Give amazing grip and don't slip on the nut/bolt faces
It's one project farm hasn't tested yet but I think that may be because it's unique in how it works and doesn't have direct competitors
Thanks for sharing.
really there are no words to express my gratitude for all the work you put in to help me make a correct decision and best value for my hard-earned money. love from India as always.
Thanks so much!
I had forgotten about “NoCry” branding ! 😂
This was a great summary of just some of the hard work you have put in for 2021, you’re the best 🙏🏻
My favorite tool is my German made Knipex pliers. I just always thought the K was silent like Ni-Pex
Thanks for the feedback.
Great summary video, Todd. Your testing methods are innovative and your results are hard to argue with. Thanks for all you do!
Thanks and you are welcome!
Thank you!
Thanks, will do! Thanks for the video idea.
Outstanding video as always sir! Your tests have been very helpful when I research something before I buy it. Thanks again 😊
Thanks and you are welcome!
I purchased the Lansky sharping set in approximately 1979/80. I may be off on the time by a few years but it was a while ago. Never the less I paid approx. $35.00, which was a large amount. But I still have most of the stones. This system has been one of the best tools I have
bought. It has never failed to give a super sharping job, well worth the money I paid for it.
Thanks for the feedback.
Great recommendation! I'll see what I can do
I really enjoy watching your videos, because you always use real life test along with scientific bench test that are used in R&D labs.
Thanks so much!
It's always good to see a tool you've been using for 20+ years get vindication. I'm pretty sure Knipex don't make a bad tool but their grips and snips are truly world beaters.
Thanks for sharing.
Greetings and thank you!
Olight makes some surprisingly good stuff. 😮
If you do flashlights I suggest including offerings from FourSevens.
Personally I would like to see rechargeable ones only but only hand torches like the ledlenser P7r etc . Nothing too big just ones that can fit on your belt but not the little EDC key chain ones but they could be a follow up episode i suppose if there is any interest from your viewers. Just a thought
And Nitecore
This is a great video! I love the idea of highlighting the best of the year for stand outs. It really rewards the truly fantastic tools.
Thanks!
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestion.
WOW I MEAN WOW. Everyone that watches you tube or buys anything tool related would be a fool of u didn't go straight to this man's channel. Best job I've ever seen someone do on there own dime. Best videos and best testing out there goes to this man right here. Thank you sir for all the hrs and money you put in your videos it def doesn't go unnoticed by the working and buying man and women out here. Thank you again.
You are welcome!
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestion.
I would be interested in seeing a range of open/closed wrenches tested. I liked how you brought in a vintage craftsman adjustable wrench. For the combination wrenches, this would be nice to see as well.
Great suggestion! Thank you.
Another great video! Have you thought about testing surfactant coolant additives that are supposed to make water-cooled engines run cooler? It would be nice to see if they are snake oil and if not, which ones work best.
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestion.
2:22 I love when it’s a relatively cheap tool that anybody can afford(not hundreds of $) and it’s by far the best tool in the comparison - I looked all around and everybody is raving about these Knipex pliers.
The fact that it is easily available outside US is also a big bonus.
Thanks for the feedback.
You are welcome! Thanks for the suggestion.
You're my go to for tools and gadgets. Your test are set up in such a great way to replicate real world applications. Definitely trust your judgement. Thank you! So happy I subbed 😄
You are welcome! Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Things you could test:
1. L.e.d. flashlights,l.e.d. flood lights, headlamps
2. Sheet metal snips
3. Ratchet wrenches
4. Battery powered cut off tools. 12/18/20 volt systems
5. Could do other car detailing items like tire shine, leather conditioners, plastic trim restorers, headlight restorer kits, wheel polishes.
6. Best work boots, composite toe vs steel toe or best waterproofing, skid/slip resistance, puncture resistance, sole/leather wear.
Thanks for all the hardwork, money and dedication you put into these videos!
Thanks for the suggestions.
Everyone needs to know about this channel hes incredible. Literally the most modern day informative channel on youtube i found in years .
Awesome summary for 2021.
This might seem strange, but I'm suggesting a test of various dish detergents. (hand wash, not dishwasher)
Love your videos.
Thanks! Thanks for the suggestion.

This is a great summary. I really appreciate all the effort you put into your reviews and testing. Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
I've bought Wiha brand bits before and I love them so much every time I use them my happiness inspires a few "weeha" proclamations from me. :) LOL
lol. Nice!
This has to be the greatest endorsement a product can get. I don’t believe anyone else will put so much effort to find the “best of the best”.
Thanks!
"2021 went by very quickly..."
This year has felt like 10 years.
It feels like 10 years crammed into one month.
The older you get the faster it goes, no offense PF your the best!
Love the channel, it's hard to find honest review content showing failure points and successes. Keep it up.
Would love to see a wire stripper head to head for different brands, and styles of strippers.
Thanks, will do! Thanks for the suggestion.
Me watching a regular video from Project Farm: "Wow, so much good info in one video. There's no way to get better than that!"
Project Farm: "Hold my beer"
What a timely video. That's the best "wish list" any DIY person could ever want!
thank you !! wonderful and informative content wish you the best
Thanks so much!
I'd be very interested in seeing a comparison of snap-on tools vs some of the other top performing brands of tools you've done
Thanks for the suggestion.
Consumer Reports should be scared of you.
My 12" knipex cobra pliers are hands down the best, most versatile tool I have ever owned. If you buy one tool, make sure it's a pair of 12" knipex pliers. I've used them to bust loose 4" pipe fittings, 38S hydraulic fittings, bolts practically welded in with rust, allen bolts, ive used it as a chipping hammer, a pry bar, etc.
Thanks for the feedback.
