Hear esteemed British actor-producer Jude Law talk about his career creating compelling characters on stage and screen in such films as “Cold Mountain,” “Sherlock Holmes” and “The Talented Mr. Ripley,” and now in the star-studded new film “Genius,” as well as in theater in London and New York. The BAFTA Award winner and Academy Award® nominee plays American literary giant Thomas Wolfe in “Genius,” which opens June 10th and reveals Wolfe’s complex relationship with the famed book editor who also discovered Fitzgerald and Hemingway - Maxwell Perkins, played by Colin Firth. One of my favorite actors. Sadly, nary a word about 2 of my fave films of Jude's: "Breaking and Entering," (which gave Vera Farmiga her break out role), and "Alfie," in which he played the title character like he was born to it.

Believe it or not I discovered Jude Law only in the last year or so through the film The Holiday. I also discovered Cameron Diaz the same way. You could say I am a tad out of touch! The Holiday is I guess a lighter film, but I love it. All the cast are good, but the chemistry between Cameron Diaz and Jude Law is pitch perfect.

Interesting hearing him talk about his looks at 30:00 . Sometimes one feels bad investing an interest in an actor purely based (at first) on his looks, in the assumption that they'd have tired of being seen as some inferior being, or as one whose acting is not what grants him his merit. But if Jude Law isn't plagued by his looks, perhaps it's not a problem for all.
