The coordination number is the number of lone pairs around the central atom. If something is attached to a bidentate ligand, it's coordination number is 2 even though there is only 1 ligand.

For those wondering how transition metal/complex (precipitates) form, it's when the complex has a net zero charge, so a solid forms, if it is charged then it dissolves into solution.

OCR says that Cr(NH3)6 is a purple solution and Cr(OH)6 is a dark green solution. You guys say the (NH3)6 is dark green....

When you add a little ammonia to an excess of positive ligand, at first it acts as a base and forms however many NH4+s as there is positive charge on the initial ligand(e.g. Cr(H2O)6[3+] as green solution forms green precipitate of Cr(OH)3(H20)3[0+] as 3NH4+ is formed. This is also true of Cu(H2O)6[2+] as a blue solution which forms a blue precipitate of Cu(OH)2(H2O)4[0+] and 2NH4+s

This topic is hard. Student need to refer to visualize.
I will read for them so that they will get very familiar with is-ti-lah.

Great video! Which ligand exchange takes place to substitute the oxygen at the places where it is needed? Which other ligands are often used in the human body to substitute it with the functional ligand?

Shame; good videos, but most of the comments just point out mistakes you guys made. Good job tho.
