I have watched this video many times. Today as I watched it, I realize how my mood changed from "feeling kinda sad" to making me smile fully inside my heart. Just by watching this little bird come to life.... your painting technique step by step evolves into a precious life. All of the tips you share with the type of cold press paper and the method of wet on wet or wet on dry makes all of the difference. Thank you for sharing your art with me. And especially thank you for making us feel like we are sitting with a "friend" and learning how to paint. What Fun! ALK

I so love listening to you instruct. I am an old watercolorist and it is a delightful medium and you certainly handle the brush wit skill.

How fun. I had birds as a child also. I loved to watch them bathe. They were always happy and singing while they were splashing about.

I absolutely LOVE this! My grandmother who passed away years ago was obsessed with bird watching and knew literally every single type of bird by their sound. She would take her binoculars everywhere and take us bird watching. I don't know how she didn't trip over logs and things in the woods while she was looking into the tops of the trees making bird calls and using her binoculars! I find myself noticing certain bird calls now at 47 years old and finding serenity in them. Except the magpies who used to wake me up on the weekends when I wanted to sleep in so bad. They lived in a big tree right outside my window. So loud!
My grandma, and my mom would love this painting so so much! I wish I could afford Daniel Smith paints and top of the line cotton paper but I'm stuck with what I have which is nowhere near as beautiful.
But I love this little Robin so much I have to give it a try. I know I can make something work. My mom wants a watercolor from me since I'm new to this art journey so I think I will give this a try.
Thank you for sharing. Your voice is so soothing and your accent sounds like my best friend's accent, she's from Norway. Your work is gorgeous, this is the first time I've seen it and I'm so happy I found your channel.

Adorable. Enjoyed the journey. I think birds fluff up after a bath to insulate themselves. I notice birds in the wild are more puffy when it is cold outside.
