I have been struggling with depression for most of my adult life. I've been told most artists struggle with one form of depression or another. Mine has started leaning towards bipolar when we lost our youngest son in June 2019. It is so hard losing one of your children. But not a day goes by without memories of him making me smile.
I just recently found you CeeCee and broke out my paints and pens, dusted away the cobwebs, and been following you and looking forward to the inspiration you share. I'm going to try and follow your suggestions about putting something down on paper, no matter how small, in hopes to raise me out of my depression. I am a happier person when creating it's just getting going that is the hardest part. I appreciate hearing your story with your own struggles. I hope I can finally spread my artistic wings again and fly. TYFS, Donna, in California.

I appreciate the beginner-level concept: I've just bought my first watercolour paints after watching your videos for years. I was just at that stage of "oh no, I don't dare start in case it is a mess/failure". But this picture shows I can start with just a few oblongs. Who knew? Many thanks for your continued inspiration.

As an artist, I have learned that we hesitate to start because we expect perfection.
We don’t want others to see our work in fear of judgement.
You can do it for yourself. You are not obligated to show anyone.
Enjoy the pleasure that you feel in creating and being so focused and relaxed.
Your comfort will increase as you continue to create . Have fun!
When I finish an artwork, I run like a child to show my husband., “Look what I made!”
Paint fearlessly, as children do. :)
I have just started learning to watercolor. I have subscribed.

I really must say I *love* all of these little soft washed color ‘bubbles’ with your embellished pen sketches! I realize they are mainly exercises but think they would be amazing matted individually and framed together in groups of three or 4 ... or 5! They really invite the eye to come closer to see the detail.

I watched this video and loved it and decided to make some circles to doodle in. I have been trying to learn how to paint with watercolors for a couple of months and really treasure your videos...I have learned so much. Anyway I gave this a shot and had a lot of fun trying out the little pastel set I bought... I think it’s Prima. When I finished it my little 3-1/2 yo grandson came over by me and said he really liked it a lot and wanted me to put it I. His room. I had to circles left to doodle in and he said he wanted a big circle in one so I made a circle with a heart for him. Since he is obsessed with letters I put a capital A in the other one sunce his name is Andrew. He asked me if the heart was because I love him and of course I said yes. Anyway, thank you so much for all your work with making these videos. I think you are an amazing artis and pretty much love it all. I wanted to include the little painting but I guess you can’t do that here.

I don't understand the "dislikes" on anyone's tutorial video. What is there not to like? I ask that as a serious question. This is your style, your personal work, if someone doesn't like it, move along. I just don't understand why someone would unlike it. I thank you for your tutorials. I'm inspired by what appears to be the ease of water colors. I wouldn't even know where to start if people like you didn't offer these how-to videos. I can develop my own style later, but I have to start somewhere, and I'm thankful that people like you are willing to offer this help.

The music is so distracting and unnecessary in these art tutorials. We all have our own music if we want to listen to music, or not. Watch Diane Antone. Calm, non-chattering, right-brain conducive lessons don’t need any music. Please learn how not to lose your audience because of terrible music.

Beautiful neutrals together... I love the gold accents. I think silver accents would be beautiful on the dark blue... I do love the white also... Everything just pops without being overwhelming❤☕

I really enjoyed watching you create this painting. The colors and simplicity of design, yet giving the eye lots to look at, are intriguing. The gold is gorgeous. I look forward to trying it and appreciate that you gave the names of the supplies that will allow success. Even without drawing skills, I can doodle something.

This is such a lovely and easy exercise that I must do something similar myself. I'm thinking a mini book with one doodle per tiny page. Thank you Ceecee and thanks for the link for the gold paint.
