Very nice video and love seeing the big ag equipment at work. When I was a kid and teenager we worked our farm with an old kerosene burner Case and a John Deere 40. Still have and use the 40 to this day. I agree with your assessment of a good salami sandwich. For a real treat try having salami and scrambled eggs for breakfast. MMMMMM Also, if you can ever find a place that will put salami in your Philly steak sandwich it will change your life. Great video, thanks for sharing.
You need a couple of large transport carts like they use in Europe to haul the beets out of the field to the trucks. That way the trucks don't get tore up in the muddy fields. Cheers... P. S. One of those all in one self-propelled harvesters would be nice too.
Hi Mitchell! Great video! I've been waiting for some Michigan Sugar Beet harvesting! I was wondering how you guys get them out of the field, it's been so wet, now I know..... Tractors towing trucks! Thanks for the video, keep them coming!!
Hello from french farmers! 💬 👓it's sugar beets harvesting in my country too! America is really amazing! Nice work ! we are little farmers and you have some dream engines 👓 🥂🍾🍷🍇𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓯𝓻𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓭 from la FRANCE 𝓒ⒽⒶ𝓜ⓟ𝓐𝓰𝓝𝓔 𝓢Ⓨ𝓛𝓥𝓘𝓔 🍾🍷🍇
Ok so the ginormous dump trailers you use fascinate me. Iv never seen anything like that used in any other part of the USA. How many tons do they haul?
Holy freakin cannoli! I farm in Colorado and if we got with a load of silage or onions that heavy the highway patrol would make sure everybody involved would get the electric chair 😂
@@onionfriend9799 I'm going on the assumption that this farm is also in Michigan, I thought he said Caro. Anyway, the State of Michigan allows trucks with a gross weight up to 164,000 pounds on roads, as long as you have the axles to carry it. Our weights are above federal law but due to 'grandfather clauses' are allowed. So a truck that is carrying 164,000 lbs. must have 11 axles each of which can only carry 13,000 lbs.
could you send me pictures of the bar you use to pull trucks? I grow potatoes and all we use is chain, so it's a pain in the butt. really appreciate it! 👍
As a fellow Michigander, this video is making me proud of our state.

Loving the tow set up. I’d be in my element driving that.

I love the camera angle from below the shift lever; unusual and creative! Thanks!
Its a compleatly diffrent sugar beet harvest in usa than in europe. Nice to see this. In europe you have big harvesters who do everything in one pass.
I'd try switching to a NO till method. Solves all the issues mentioned

Great video today Mitchell! Definitely a perspective you’ve not shared before.
Great video! Look forward to more!

Nice edit. That tow bar looks pretty cool. I'll keep it in mind next time I get stuck.
Why so many axles on the trailers????
Awesome video...now I know what my cousins do during beet harvest!!!! My cousins farm north of Caro.
I really like your editing style! Great video.

They haul about 40 tons depends on the trailer

I really like your spin on these videos, I wish my dad would let me make video's on our farm.
Tell him you are going to make videos to promote agriculture
Where is this? Around Fargo they're going straight from standing water to frozen ground. At least the snow is gone.
Fairview is a muddy mess of parked lifters and frozen ruts...
At least its not a major flood loke up north here
Awesone vid, love watching how sugar beets are harvested. How many acres do you farm?
Can you explain the reasoning behind all the axles on the trailers?
Awesome! More beet harvest!
I missed how you get the dirt back after you dump the beats at the factory. Good footage!2ex
Im impressed you can drive now
Stay tuned lol
What do beets sell for up there - bushel or tons ????? and the price
How many pounds does does the trucks up there gross at?
You guys out by Zwerk's or further west past Richville!
We aren’t far from there. Further north.
Can u do a truck tour we also haul beets in Michigan into the Croswell factory and I like seeing what other people haul with
That would be cool!
What would you like to see?
How far out of caro are you? I have a potato farm in munger
How many kg from 1000 square meters ? 😊
Looks beautiful compared to North Dakotah right now
Pretty sure I seen your sister hauling into the Bay City factory on Friday
It was probably my cousin! We didn’t haul there
Question, why do you guys pull the trucks with the trailer instead of just pulling the trailer?
You have to drive the truck to the factory
could you send me pictures of the bar you use to pull trucks? I grow potatoes and all we use is chain, so it's a pain in the butt.
really appreciate it! 👍
It’s called a Safe-T-Pull! Works great 👍🏼
Only way to go! Had one on a challenger but it would jerk the trucks when trying to drag them onto the road... quadtrack worked so much better!
It’s just like digging beets in North Dakota
What is the song in in this video?
Shae Gunderson which one? Should be in the comments
Farmable the one that played the most
Farmable I found it thanks
Can I apply to help harvest beats..
Sugar beet 500, neat watching them go buy in jeddo
Was grandpa franks driving?
Yeah he was lol
Your pioneer sweater/coat is at my house. I’m gonna keep it 😂
I’ve been wondering where that was 😂 I’ll keep your radio then 😂
BET! Get me a farmable sweater then!
Of course they edited out the portion of the video where they spray the beet crops with pesticides✍️✍️✍️
