The part that is supposed to get scratched up is down there in the dirt... I'm already ripping down limbs that didn't really need to come down to keep the pinstripes off.
I work in tight spots that the tree Nazis wont let me HARM trees until the eco study is finished. Meanwhile the dozers are scheduled already to flat clear. So yeah my machines are scratched all to hell.
We need to buy another KX040 we have one already. first one is with rubber track. i know you love the steel track. My salesman told me the steel track wont last as long. they clog fast and at the links between the plate they wear off quick. i work in the forest 90% of the time, sand, gravel, never on pavement or concret, what do you suggest thanks for your videos keep it up.
Your salesman is very wrong. I have gotten over 5000hrs out of a set. I doubt he has ever been around a set of steel tracks. If you are doing mostly forestry work, you will love the steel tracks. I feel the salesmen really push rubber because they get to sell them more often because they fail so quickly. Just my thoughts. Thank you for watching. Have a wonderful day.
You must have a million videos.... they just keep coming up.. I love it and love them sir!
Not quite a million, but I do have a year and a half worth. Thank you for watching, and have a wonderful day 😊
@@jeramyreberpuredirt7873 I'm watching all of them if I can!

Nice work! And that's a nice machine. Sure beats a TLB or a backhoe. Amazing how much you can do with the excavator.
Thank you and enjoyed meeting you today. Hope for dry weather. 🙂

Proud of you, this stuff is very expensive, why not keep it nice and take care of it. Have a great evening.

@Raymundo yes sometimes it just can't be helped, I have scratches but I try hard not to.

Just be sure not to run them as tight as you do the rubber, or you will wear them out fast, I run them a little on the loose side.
what is the width of your ditch bucket? i also have a kx040 and i was thinking of 48 inches for my new ditch bucket. what do you think?
It is a 48" I am very happy with it. It's made by Werk Brau. Thanks for watching and have a great day
