ALSO at the start of the attempt my dad started talking to me and I was like "hang on please" and well thank god he hung on. It was also my last attempt of the session
Whew. Where do I even begin. This took me almost 2 years. 2 YEARS. That's more than 1/7th of my entire life. Of course, I took some hiatuses from the level along the way.
I love this level, this is quite possibly my favourite or second favourite level in the entire game, its only competitor being The End.
Let's start with the gameplay: despite being ENTIRELY in 1/2 speed, this level NEVER gets boring. The gameplay is extremely creative, extremely skill based, and while not perfectly balanced the balancing is still amazing (the level is first half heavy). Most deaths will be to the first 7 jumps or the ship. I love how throughout the level the CPS progressively gets faster and faster, and the gameplay gets stranger and stranger, and the long stretches of a single gamemode.
Now, by far the best part of this level: the decoration
The deco in this level is entirely unique. There is literally no other level in the entire game that is decorated like this. And that's on purpose. At the end of the level you'll see "if i'm adhering to others' standards, is it really my own level?"
This, I feel sums up the whole of Mothmelons. It is a beautifully unique level that really shows challenging the status quo can create real art. The level also has its own story to tell, with text throughout the level. It tells the story of Valentine making the level. The text reads as follows:
"are you feeling it? the temptations? look | don't turn back | sometimes breaks are nice | im so tired | my creativity is running out and so is my patience so i think im gonna have some fun"
The level is also littered with jokes, references and more, that you'll just have to find by playing the level.
I must also say, as well as being unique the deco looks GREAT. I love how the level gets progressively more vibrant and chaotic with the song, how the pulses of more changing colours line up with the song, and more. There's really too many good things to say about this level, so I think I'll just leave it here. Thank you Valentine, for this journey. Thank you for making this level.

Unfortunately seems like this level breaks my recording software, because I recorded this in 1080p and exported it in 1080p as well. Weird.
