John Michael Talbot Interviews the Very Rev. Dr. John Behr, December 2019 from Little Portion Hermitage as part of his Inner Room School of Spirituality.
Fr. John Behr is the Fr. Georges Florovsky Distinguished Professor of Patristics at St Vladimir’s Seminary, where he served as Dean from 2007-17, and the Metropolitan Kallistos Chair of Orthodox Theology at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam; he will become the Regius Professor of Humanity at the University of Aberdeen in the summer of 2020.

Father Behr always seems so authentic and refreshing to me. Not studying "systematic theology" as he says, but rather philosophy and then early patristics has freed him from slavish devotion to any 15th century or later tradition. He has a unique and wonderful view of christianity MUCH closer to the source that is freed from the constraints of much later dogma that I doubt 2nd century christians or the apostles for that matter would even recognize.
