i feel like in the past year or so you’ve REALLY honed in on what accentuates your beauty the most! light coverage, glowy makeup, eyebrows are defined but natural, your eye makeup is on POINT every time!!! truly your eye makeup accentuates the shape and color of your eye and looks so amazing. whatever you’ve changed up has been working for you!

Not me! I’ve gotten up at 5 am every workday for over 30 years to get ready for a professional job and to drive into work. One of the absolute joys of working from home for the pandemic has been to sleep in, stay in my PJs, no makeup, and get right to work by 7 am. It’s glorious to me! I am MORE productive without worrying about the minutiae. I dread going back to work. It will hurt!

Same, I had basically an identical routine, pre pandemic; only I used to get up at 4:30am. I love working from home, sleeping in, no makeup, staying in pajamas and not having to deal with the stress of NY rush hour traffic. Also, not having to stress over commuting to work during the winter with the snow and ice.....my stress level has been so low working from home!

I work out at 4am so I can get a shower and get ready for work (middle school science teacher). I don't do it early because I love it, I do it out of necessity. My husband is a runner and he trains after school (also a teacher) and we have a 2.5 year old who can't be left unattended. So my options are before work or after dinner and to me, the lesser of those evils is early in the morning!

So about the morning workout thing. I’m currently a junior in college and I find that working out in the morning helps me feel energized for that day. I think it helps wake me up and my brain is more likely to retain the information for the day. I personally like to rotate between morning workouts and morning meditation. It’s one of those things where I have to force myself to do (depending on my schedule) but every morning that I do it, I never regret it. Hope this helps! Love y’all😍

I get emotional when you talk about Gigi and her grandparents too! When I was little I had both sets of grandparents plus THREE great grandmas and a great grandpa. My Gram was my best friend and my greats were amazing and lived to be almost 100, one passed a few days before turning 106! It’s such a cool bond to have. My kids have all of their grandparents close by too and it’s so fun to see

Your advice to get ready for the day, is so so important. On days I stay in my pajamas or sweats and don’t get myself ready, I find myself wasting time and being lazy, unlike days that I actually take the time to put myself together. Tidbits of wisdom!

I love watching Jessica! She gives me great insight on products and lifestyle things, but she also is so relatable. I watch her when I am on the treadmill, so I get my Jessica and my exercise at the same time! Win-Win!!! Your makeup is stunning, Jess! I am a bed maker, too! It only takes less than 2 minutes and makes such a difference. I work out in the morning, but I am not a breakfast person so it really doesn't affect me to work out on an empty stomach. I get up and put my workout clothes on right away, then have my coffee and work out on my treadmill while watching Jessica (usually drops videos on Monday, Wednesday, Friday) or Allie Glines ( usually drops Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday).

So cool that you like 1940’s music. I was born in the 60’s and love 1940’s & 50’s music. My mom played it all the time when I was growing up.
So glad Gigi has grandparents. I was very blessed to have great grandparents, grandparents and tons of aunts and uncles as I was growing up. They all lived to be 95-101 so I was shocked when my mom suddenly passed away almost 6 years ago at 75.

Two things: I like to keep a "brain dump" list in my stuff (I'm a student so it's usually in my school notebook.) There's not usually a ton of to-do's on it for me because I try to plop those right in my planner if I can, but my list helps me remember questions I want to explore more, things I need to find, etc. It's definitely helped me fall asleep!
On the morning workout thing: I focus on working out when I feel like my energy is low. So sometimes I work out when I hit that afternoon wall, and sometimes I work out when I wake up if I didn't sleep well. It kicks me back into gear, you know? I'm definitely more of a morning person, so it's easier for me to motivate to workout then in general too. I'm still getting back into fitness, so I like being able to check it off early in the day to stay accountable. No excuses!

I have a puggle who is half beagle and I can see so many characteristics from the beagle side: refuses to sit on the couch without a soft blanket underneath, searching for sun spots, immediately jumps on the made bed, and sleeps under the blankets. Love your content. Thank you for making our days brighter ❤️

On the weekends I workout in the morning (9:30/10) before making breakfast for my husband and I. I have an empty stomach and I’ve never had any issues there. Weekdays I workout after work- usually at 430/5 so my lunch is well digested by then. Those days my husband makes dinner or at least starts on it. We make a good team. Having a supportive partner makes a huge difference but I would say it’s mostly in the planning.

Hey Jess. I workout in the morning every day. The key for me is to wake up at 5:30am, spend some time meditating, journaling, and drinking a slow cup of coffee before my 3 kids wake up. That time is VITAL for my mental health. I do about 30 minutes of yoga around 7am, breakfast at 7:30, and then walk/run 5 miles around 8:30am. By 10:30 I’m done and showered! It’s my perfect morning routine.

I’m an early morning workout person for a couple for reasons. Firstly, my job can be pretty intense (workload more so than anything else), so I focus pretty intensely all day and find myself with very low energy by the time the working day is over. I even subscribed to Hello Fresh to help ensure on these days that I ate a healthy evening meal, and to make the task of preparing dinner as low effort as possible (Hello Fresh is a game changer for me, I love it!). Secondly, knowing that I’ll have a pretty intense day ahead, I just love the feeling of achieving something for myself before the working day has even begun. It gives me a little spring in my step and makes me feel like my entire day wasn’t just “all about work”, plus I get the added bonus of a lazy evening with none of the guilt 🤣

I go back and forth of morning or afternoon for working out. As hard as it can be sometimes to wake up and consistently workout in the morning, I am way more productive, happier, and energized during my workday when I do. I also tend to get a better workout bc I don’t feel sluggish. I typically don’t eat before I workout but I do drink coffee beforehand then drink water throughout. I know I’m probably weird but I love it and then I’ll eat as soon as I’m done with my workout then shower! It’s also out of my way for the day, like I’m not thinking “oh man I’ve gotta workout” alllll day. Do what works best for you!

I really realize our homes do speak to us like have to bought something new and brought it home and it just sat there because you really had nothing to wear with it so you open the closet and it's talking to you (the silent to do list) LOL

Grandparents are the best. I only had 1 grandma act the part of 4 and she was wonderful but she died when I was in middle school so I definitely missed out on that. I tell everyone to appreciate your grandparents always 💜💜

I love that my kiddos have grown up with my parents & their cousins, basically every day. Like, they don’t call each other cousins, they’re all brothers & sisters.☺️
Love it! They have built in bffs. I wish I had that when I was growing up so much. So, I’m so grateful that they get that.

I am definitely not a morning person but I have found early morning is my favourite time to workout. It's quiet and peaceful and I find I have more energy for the day. If I get hungry a breakfast bar helps get me through usually.

Agree with you on so many points: Do makeup, get out of jammies, and make your bed. Also I work out in the morning. Was a dance major 20 plus years ago and I cannot start the day without movement. But my husband loves the afternoon same as you. Love you and your content. Pinoch is my fave.

I have always been a morning person. I workout on Mondays and Wednesdays with my personal trainer at 5:45am. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday I do TH-cam workouts (thanks to your suggestions) plus the ab workout my trainer has given me. I find that once 1pm hits, I can't do anything for myself. I work full time for a non-profit. I have three teens who need to go to different places after school, need my help with school projects/homework, and I am like you, once I eat dinner I am done for the evening. In college, I did my workouts in the afternoon and evenings; but, after I had my third child, I just can't keep up in the afternoon like I can in the morning. So, I kinda switched 'mid-life' I guess. And I feel like I need the extra stretching to keep my day going. Plus, I can sleep better at night, even after a bad day, knowing I can work it out in the morning. When I am doing cardio, that's when I think about what I am going to do for the day. Take shower, sit and finish my coffee as I write it in my planner and then head to work. I also find I do a better job eating breakfast if I workout in the morning because when I am done, I am famished and eat a much better breakfast than any other meal of the day. You are an amazing person and you have a fantastic rhythm for you. Some things will stick and other things will change as life goes on. Love watching you and learning from you. Peace be with you.

Hey Jessica, I don’t know if you will see this or read it but I wanted to say I love watching your videos, whether it’s makeup tutorial or the vlogs with your beautiful family. I enjoy your energy, your positive vibes and genuinely realistic content. It makes me sad that some people were being mean or rude about one comment you made in a video, we are all human and we all make mistake. That being said I believe you deserve all the love and way more subscribers. I am gutted that people unsubscribed just because one one thing, it’s so stupid. Wish all the best and can we please get some singing videos of you and Tyler; I came across old videos of you guys singing and omg.. sooo good,,

I worked out in the morning at 0330 for 5 years and I only recently switched because I work at 5 am, so it’s just too early for me. The best way to do it: have a bedtime that allows enough sleep. If you’re used to going to bed at 10 or 11 and sleeping until 6, you’ll never get up any earlier. Go to bed earlier, wake up earlier. It works, it just takes practice.
I hate working out after work bc I have all day to talk myself out of it. And I do, very often 😛

Also...I do workout in the AM and I have to eat beforehand too. I do a protein coffee and fruit and maybe a little dry cereal, all pretty quick while I'm doing my skincare/sunscreen. Working out in the AM is a GAME CHANGER...such a good start to the day!

I used to be an evening worker-outer before I had kids. Now I always do it in the morning! I can't handle having a big breakfast before I work out, so I stick with a little protein-type bar. Lately I've been having a Verb bar. It's just the right amount to eat before I work out, and added bonus: it's caffeinated so it gives me a boost of energy for my workout :)

I can’t work out first thing either. I don’t mind doing it on an empty stomach but I need to wake up and warm up first. It’s also really a struggle after a long day of work too. I’m lucky to have been home for a few years now. I love to just get in a workout randomly, late morning or mid day.
My husband woke up at 4am to work out for years. He had a better commute now so he gets up around 6 to work out. Still too early for me!

I used to be such an avid night workout person! I’d get off work at 8:15 and head straight to the gym and thriveeeeeee, now I love working out in the morning. I like to be out the door to the gym within an hour of waking up (this doesn’t always happen, of course). I hate working out after eating food because I just feel bloated. But if I’m actually feeling hungry before I head out I’ll just grab a quick granola bar or banana or something light! Working out at 4-5 pm would be the worst for me because I consistently feel so tired at that point in the day. It’s crazy how different everyone’s best works out times is.

I work in the afternoons so I workout in the mornings after breakfast, bed making, putting in a load of laundry and laying out my clothes for the day. I have a playlist made for each day with a ten minute meditation, 20ish minute dance routine and then a ten minute arm or ab workout. Makes it easy just to hit Mondays playlist and go for it.

Fun fact: hormonally for women, it's better for us to workout in the evening or end of work day time. Our hormones are more prone to helping boost mood and metabolism if we workout at night 😊

some days my work day is 8am-10pm so the option is either morning workout or no workout (or movement at all) so I just force myself to hahah still do prefer afternoon workouts though! but the benefit of morning workouts is that then you feel like you've already accomplished something by like 7:30!
