I have to say this about this show. I haven't been moved to tears much by television. Seeing this show go away was heartbreaking. The only other end to make me cry was Six Feet Under.

Vice could show Cady how city cops do things and what she learned from walt and walt with his many years as sheriff could always give her wisdom on how to go about things. They would need to hire at least another 3 or 4 people though. Can't have the entire dept bogged down at one crime scene.
Cady and Zach go to nyc for vacation before Cady is sworn in as Sheriff. There is an accident involving a chemical spill in front a pet store but some little girl is crying to get her pet. Zach goes in to save her pet but there is an explosion. Cady follows and saves the girls pet and goes back for Zac but is then scarred from chemical burns and Zach dies. After recovering from hospital her scars disappear and turns out she develops strange abilities with bouts of anger. To control her anger learns martial science. One year passes and 4 humanoid turtles who act like teenagers show up at doorstep and vow to protect after explaining how she saved their lives along with other countless animals who also have mutated with powers. The chemical truck actually was from a subsidiary of Manifest Destinies and all the creatures want answers for their existence so they head to where Shane Muldoon was last seen in Wyoming. What results is a mix of a soft reboot of Ninja Turtles and Longmire, with Cady serving a mix of roles between Sheriff and April o”Niel and henry “hector” standing bear becomes to new master splinter. There is twist in the identity of Master Shredder who brings the footclan to Absroka county. Ferg loses a ton of weight and Meg is recast with Bryce Dallas Howard cuz why not. There is a new Mayor who is good/evil/gray played by Dwayne the Rock Johnson with minimal screen time. The is a detective story with monster of the week format titled “Longmire: Turtle Warriors”
A couple of things. If you liked Longmire I assume you will like Justified. This final episode (like most final episodes of great shows) wasn't great. Vic has more luggage with her than a standard 747 and I hoped Longmire and her did not get together. He is smarter than that. Cady would not be a good sheriff and should have been allowed to follow her lawyer dreams in NYC. Her as sheriff is ridiculous. Longmire going through all that shit and then quitting sheriffing is also ridiculous. He watched how quitting what he is good at destroyed Lucion.
No, telling her you trust her to do the most challenging and honorable job in the county speaks volumes about the love, respect, and integrity between this man and his daughter.
Sorry, but I HATED Walt Longmire. There's something gross about him that just makes me cringe. I liked everyone else, but I hated him. I actually adored Nighthorse and I think a lot of my resentment towards Walt is because of the way he treated Nighthorse and even those who obviously cared about him. I was happy he was having his ass kicked out of office. Telling Cady to be the Sheriff was the best idea that struck his thick, entitled head. Walt played his character ABSOLUTELY amazing, we all get a little crazy when we loose our loved ones, I for 1 loved Walt we got to see all range of emotions, loved the ending, hopefully leaving room to come back.
