Flagellants are wierd because they're an infantry tarpit but they real want to charge. Their initiative and squishyness means they won't do much the turn they're charged by someone else and subsequent turns their flails turn off. It feels like you're paying extra for the situational damage of if they get a charge off.
I demand they expand the lore surrounding flagellants to match the current setting, as they may be zealots of Taal, Ulric, or Sigmar. That being said, hopefully in future Priests of Taal will be added as an option!
Ahh, it is the Adeptus Tarpites, yess. Certainly a unit worth of consideration. Maybe not 500 points, but a good block of 20 to anchor a flank or the the center most certainly.
I have 50, but you can only get 40 as stated. What I run in my list is 27 - with the priest, it becomes 28, and they go 7 wide - 4 deep. This allows you to get the extra swings when you face opponents that go 5 wide. With a tar pit unit, this becomes an excellent tactic to go 7 wide. Well in my opinion - LOL
Hi Mordian, may I suggest that you consider doing a quick overview of each faction of OW and provide your opinions and perspectives on each after a cursory glance? For example I'd be interested in knowing your opinions on the Vampire Counts. Also a video on some topics like if you think Ranged is good or combat meta is better, Elite vs Horde superiority, stuff like that.
25:13 that volume jump was a goddamn jump scare, yeesh
One of the best units on the roster!

16:04 Yes the +2 STR and Hatred is gone, but you fail to mention the real big one, they go back to just having one attack.
Ohhh Baby, I can not wait to finish painting my 50 Flagellants

When did you do Greatswords? 🤔 Great content as always. 👌🏻
The greatsword video is actually next week! I record things in batches and due to the quirk of scheduling the this one ended up coming out first 😅
I like to think of flaggelents as a big fist that does not stop untill it dies..
As a wall they are pretty soft

Flagellants were right.
