    I keep all my spell and cone incense remnants in the cauldron, and when I have enough ashes/dust, I add some Himalyan salt to it, and mix well with a mortar and pestle and I create black salt out of it. I usually make sure that when I'm close to having enough that I light up a charcoal block and burn some special incense I made that is full of protection herbs to make sure the protection vibe is strong. Then, I like to lay the black salt near the thresholds of entrance to my house and yard. I usually get enough ashes to make black salt about twice a year. :)

    Thank you for sharing such a personal space of yours. I am struggling with whether I need an inside alter. I appreciate that you explain that it isn't necessary 😊. I really want something more of a garden alter, I've had them before & I really connect with them, so I can't wait for Spring. Laying up stuff atm.
    You mention your bf, my husband, though not really very witchy, is very helpful in assisting me with the 'mundane' parts of the gathering. I have jokingly claimed him as my familiar, which he loves 😊, his Taurus personality vibes very heavily with that, while my charge ahead Aries spirit just wants to have it ready to dive into.
    Just yesterday he went on a buying trip for new essentials & while I was washing glass jars to fill, I opened the door to him standing there completely engulfed in 'fresh' roses tossed from last Valentine's day. I asked him to pick up a bag of dried rose petals & he went above & beyond pulling these from the bin out back of the store when the manager told him he could have all of them if he wanted since he had just tossed them (in the winter of the midwest no less). I then trimmed them to use the stems to weave for the garden, & the leaves to write on or mulch & he strung the masses to dry in the basement & painstakingly layed any fallen petals to dry on a long table (again-Taurus). It was such a loving & devoted project for him to do.
    I am so happy & waiting for this new moon to charge some water 😊
    Blessings to all 💟

    I have watched this video 3x's, and I think it's amazing! I love that you keep your spell remnants in a jar and dispose of them separately and have storm water and on your altar. I have some shamanic training and have kept an altar for a few years but never really used it much. It was suggested that we cover our altars to keep the energy in - the problem with that is that I didn't see it or place precious objects on it that were a part of my daily life. I have moved it to a more visible place and it is now uncovered. I can already see and feel a difference and I have been using it daily. Thanks for sharing!

    Inspiring. I enjoyed seeing the antique dolls, as I have one and she is fragile and magical. She has lost a great deal of hair, so I think she needs to go to the doll hospital. There used to be a woman who repaired old dolls, but she is no longer doing this type of work. I am searching for someone who can fix her hair. Anyway, I am rambling. Appreciate you sharing your sacred space. Thank you.

    I have the same kind of dolls as your Mary Queen of Scots, I have an Elizabeth I, and a couple of Henry's wives, I was very obsessed with the Tudor women and I've been to Heaver twice.... just love it there... enjoyed your vid so much. x

    • @kelly-annmaddox
      @kelly-annmaddox  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sam Wright I am similarly obsessed with Tudor women and the history.. Soooo into it! My sister and I would have full on debates about Henry's wives as kids, and we would compete with each other on how many facts we could remember about each of them! Anne Boleyn was always my fave - I wanted the 'B' necklace with the teardrop pearls.. My sister loved Jane Seymour.

    • @samwright8599
      @samwright8599 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The women are sooo much more interesting then the stupid men aren't they? When my sister was alive we would exchange Tudor stories, I went to Heaver with her before she got too ill and it holds so many special memories, I bought a B necklace from the shop but it broke the first time I put it on, I want one from etsy...its so fun when someone you admire likes the same things as you do x

    rad vid tfs. love the pine cone & beautiful herstory of it, & your wonderful dolls. i don't really have a permanent matron yet, but have worked with a few deity. i did a rite to hela with some private fb page coven sisters (in synchronicity) a couple years ago, as we'd been gifted antique keys from berlin, that had been dipped (in rite) in hela's pond by an artist sister who was exhibiting there...the rite itself was strong & i remember closing my eyes & putting my hands out, fingertips up & forward, & she was so there, on the other side of the mirror- so to speak- with her bone fingers held up to mine, encouraging me to breathe out & release much shadow toxins, to which she inhaled & fed off...it was an intense, beautiful, moment that i'll never forget. she's bloody awesome. like you :) *blessings*

This sounds like it would be very useful to me but I'm having trouble imaging where to start (it's probably not as hard as I'm making it out to be.... ;) Also, I'd love to hear your techniques for candle magic. I have used small book shelves, too. But then you can't light candles on the lower shelves without burning it down, hahaha! Second-hand shops and garage sales... best places. Mine is on my dresser ATM too. I don't feel able to do much there. How's it with yours?

    • @Strega_del_Corvo
      @Strega_del_Corvo 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +StandingPerfectlyStill Holly It works ok for now but it's taller than it is wide so it feels cramped. I still share the dresser with my husband so I use the top drawer to store supplies (but barely since I have more than can fit in one drawer) and the rest store our clothes. We just bought a house so once we have a bit more money I am trying to convince him to let me put an altar in the spare room. It would be great to be able to do spell work etc. in there so I don't have to tell him not to come into his own bedroom every so often. :P

    Hey Kelly. Love love love this video. Wish YT organized my subscriptions better so I could come across yours more often. Anyway, I'm curious as to how often you are at your altar? Im rather new to using one and was doing a morning/ evening connection ritual each day. I enjoyed it, but it began to feel forced. How (often/ reason) do you do your time there? Guess I'm interested in another perspective of time and schedule. Nothing strict I know, but Im developing a better connection to my intuition and this is part of that process for me. Thanks a bunch! Much love.

    I love alters. I'm so very curious, so I will ask some silly questions. What do you prepare and call "mojo"? What is the satin blue scarf in drawer #1 used for? Where do you get your candles? Do you prepare most of your oils? Do use Essential Oils? I have to say Wow, to your alter. Loved the tour! Love and Light.

    Just a thought, but I was wondering if you would consider doing a video on Pop Culture Magic? I see people occasionally talking about pop culture, displaying certain things on their altars, their BoS, journals, part of their magical practice and an very curious as to how this can be incorporated into my own practice. Thank you for your consideration! :)

    You are truly unique. I have not heard of a matron Goddess being the Goddess of hell. That's amazing to me, you are amazing. I do have some question I hope they aren't too personal, For your Goddess of femininity does she have a name? or do you use The Goddess as her name?

      +Lippy Witch Female empowerment, freedom of expression, freedom to be 'un-ladylike', freedom to scream. They are also there to remind me that I need to keep doing what I do and expressing myself in a pure way even if people imitate me and rip me off and do Norman Bates style parodies of me. I cannot allow other people's lack of originality to impede my desire to embody my true self. I must keep going, just as those bad ass original bitches did!!

    I see that you keep some of your waters out on your altar exposed to the sun. How do you keep your waters from molding?

    "It was creepy as fuck so yeah I put that on straight away" 😂😂
    Kelly-Anne, I have a quick question. I made a scrying mirror for my alter. I left it overnight, the day I made it, on my alter in my room. It felt wrong, like I left a vortex open in my room or something. I tossed and woke up all night. Would you have any insight about this? I've since put the mirror in my side drawer next to the bed.

      I use storm water for keeping storms at Bay. I water a plant with it to represent my space, I also have a jar with a few drops to take in the car so we won't crash

    Hello, I have a question. How do you store your storm water? Mine ended up festering and stinking like a rotten stagnant swamp. It was horrible. LOL Do you know of any way to best prevent this?
