- I love these two so much! I needed a more lighthearted drama and this one is such a delight to watch. I also love the more serious parts...

...like when they visit the village stricken with the smallpox epidemic and have to make this huge decision to trust in the weird western medicine to save people. I also cried along with Hae Ryung when that child in the hut passed away.
Idk, this drama just hits the spot right between hilarious and cute and then emotional and heartfelt. I hope you all take a chance with this one.
Also, Avril's new album is so good? And brings me back to circa 2011 and Goodbye Lullaby...ughh I love her.

@@Lalala37282 True Beauty is good, but I prefer Rookie Historian. In terms of chemistry, both dramas do a very good job. The story of Rookie Historian isn't only focused on their romance.
Here, Cha Eun-Woo and Shin Se-Kyung (both are criticized for having a "bad acting") were able to show they are good actors and shut haters mouth. Eun-Woo portrayed Yi-Rim, a 20 years old innocent, lovely and romantic prince. He was never able to go out and always lived inside the palace, but he wants freedom. Se-Kyung portrayed Hae-Ryung, a 26 years old strong, brave and realistic rookie historian. She wants to be a historian, live her own life and be free.
This drama bring the christianity in Korea, vaccination, women part in history.

I really liked this drama, It was touching, funny, and I won't hide the fact that their couple was quite cute and endearing. Really, no problem there since this drama is one of my favorites. But there is one thing that I don't agree with is the fact that they are both comfortable with each other. I'm not trying to be mean or negative at all, but I haven't seen chemistry in this couple. They didn't make my heart beat like SK and Yim Siwang did in Run On who had a breathtaking bond!

@@so.nal06 even if I had seriously shipped, I wouldn't have shipped them. Cuz Eunwoo is always like a baby brother to everyone. Off-screen I feel that's how he was to SSK considering their age gap too.
But Run On is another level. The chemistry is skyrocketing. And came to know Im Siwan from RunOn only. I never knew him before but I fell at first sight for his acting. He's a legend my God. His acting is well praised and it's definitely not overrrated. He's an acting genius for sure.
And SSK with ISW, there's no way they'd lack chemistry off-screen too. As a person who doesn't like shipping but rarely does, I'm so into them rn.
