You know I'm in a wheelchair I wasn't born when the dukes of hazard was on TV I was born in 82 so I was born a couple of years after the end of the show I'm a huge fan of The dukes of Hazzard my dream car is a 1969 Dodge charger 440 Magnum with 375 horsepower at the rear wheels done up like the general Lee I wish I could have had the chance to own the general Lee if I ever get the chance to go to Gatlinburg Tennessee to cooter's place I'm definitely going to go and I'm definitely going to spend some money and buy some dukes of Hazzard merchandise it's one of my favorite shows I own every single season I would just love once to ride in the general Lee thank you Mr Ben Jones for putting this museum together and if you're there when I go I would love to shake your hand cuz this show The dukes of Hazzard was just down home country fun and I thank you from the bottom of my duke heart and I very much playing to spend some money and most of all getting my picture taken inside my dream car 1969 general Lee Dodge charger

Fun place to visit. This one is closed now, and re-opened in Pigeon Forge, but I don't think they have the go-kart racing at the new one. The one in Nashville is great, also.
Yeah, no go-karts at the new Pigeon Forge location but from a business point, P.F. should be a better location. Paid parking was a drawback for some folks and parking in Gatlinburg is at a premium.
Things you called jello molds are happy meal boxes. You ordered a kids meal and it came in the Dukes style car box and a matching drink cup. Each week for a month you got a different one. General being last offered, of course!!
I was probably having a low blood sugar moment when I rambled some kind of gibberish out. I did have the old school satellite in high school or as I call it, the poor man's Challenger.
It was awesome because I was in that very place and the guy who ran the go karts gave 1 free turn (which we had already had about 2 that were paid for) and he gave us all free pictures in the General Lee which was a awesome and very kind of him to do that guy was awesome!

Awesome!!! I didn't go to Cooters in Tennessee . I went to the Luray, Virginia location this past September. It wasn't as big as Gatlinburg, but it was still fun, and we grabbed up some great keep sakes.
I have to tend to agree with you on the general lee that year of charger was a beautiful body on the outside but the inside of the new chargers and the quality of interior is so much better today than it was in the 70s
I've got pics of my friends and I in that car. We sold a vehicle to the movie company when they were filming in Baton Rouge and they let us look at all the cars.

My wife's grandpa was the owner of the property that Dukes of hazard filmed on. My son and I gotta picture setting in the General Lee with Ben Jones standing next to the car.

John Schneider said there were no standard general Lee’s but a couple didn’t have roll cages. I thought I remembered seeing a stick in one episode. I wonder if that one really is one of a kind but real. The fuel cap is not legit for the ‘year’ of the general lee. Fuel was on the next model year.
I been there but looks improved last time was there. Dukes of hazzard was best show to watch kid or adult. I never thought of it as racist show. Cant believe people thought it was to take off the air. It was a family show brought familys together in the same room. It was the only time nobody talked just yee!! haw!!! Kind of reminded me how things was in my home town. As kids bunch of us would slide sideways racing down gravel dirt road on the farm with a junker car.what fun it was.
I think that's just the mop copy of the General Lee cuz original General Lee's used to show at roll bars NH car especially for some of the stunt drivers that drove they were ride cruise I think the cars what did the jumps and stuff according to John Schneider so yeah that's not the original General Lee if you watch through the episode you'll notice to be bars on the inside on some of the cars they used due to the jumps

D Fields well. It’s the ‘wrong year’. The new challenger is designed on ‘71-‘74 model. The General Lee is a 1969 design. So if someone DID do one it would actually be wrong. 👍

According to the owner of this General it's a show used original. Not all doors were welded on every Charger. They used different configurations depending on what the shot required.

Mini golf AND go karts. The new one is basically just a store. Still enjoyed it but the old one appeals more to my 5 year old self.

You can always find Duke stuff on the Cooter's website and if you're in the big box stores, Walmart sells the complete dvd series of Dukes.

He also had a museum just outside of Sperryville, Virginia off of Hwy 522. Went to the place numerous times.

I've seen General Lee tributes made from all kinds of vehicles. Nothing's like the original but I kinda dig anything done up General style.
D Fields well. It’s the ‘wrong year’. The new challenger is designed on ‘71-‘74 model. The General Lee is a 1969 design. So if someone DID do one it would actually be wrong. 👍

It's a replica of General Lee...The General's doors were welded shut in all original cars.
According to the owner of this General it's a show used original. Not all doors were welded on every Charger. They used different configurations depending on what the shot required.

@@AimlessAdventuresVlog No problem man, I've always loved the Dukes of Hazzard and I went there when I was 5. Recently I went to Cooter's Place's new location and I have to say the old one is better. Mini golf AND go karts. The new one is basically just a store. Still enjoyed it but the old one appeals more to my 5 year old self.

Correct, not all were. It depended on what the shot required. Not all the cars were jump cars.
