SEPTA riders will be able to pay through a smartphone app later this year

SEPTA Spokesperson Andrew Busch says riders will soon be able to pay their fare through the SEPTA mobile app and get the same discounts as the Key card: $2 for a single ride instead of $2.50, and a free transfer.

Septa first needs to do something about the homeless problem on the trains as well all the drug addicts shooting up on the platforms, if not then who cares because that’s the real problem.

Well just before the pandemic hit, the pharmaceutical companies were held liable and ordered to pay 60 some million per state for the opioid crisis they plagued the masses with. So what happened to all that money?

I’ve been seeing these new readers on the ADA gates at some stations. This is great but hopefully they also keep safety and cleaner trains/busses a priority. It would be great to see 24hr service on weekends come back. Very useful for riders who work late night/ early morning shifts.
