For years, I thought Diesels are still here on the rails. But since I saw Narrow Gauges video several times, it makes me even fell bad for the diesels too.
And the worst part is that during the modernization plan in the uk, they made terrible diesel locomotives so many of them didn’t have a successful career, for example. The class 15, 16, 17, broke down constantly, 21’s caught fire, the class 28’s Engine failure’s, 43’s measurement’s where out of proportion, the list goes on.
but now even electrics have to be on the list, especially in japan where they are phasing out quite a bit of classes that have been in service since at least the 80s. But hey, at least they know quite a lot on what preservation is
@@MTecs and over here in Britain as well, there are so many electrics, mainly electrics that have already been saved that are in HUGE danger again, the class 309 only narrowly avoided scrap recently, the 4-dd only narrowly survived but lost its final centre coach when the museum at Ashford closed
"But the men in the workshops are always working to improve old designs, and sometimes they come with something that beats all expectations, making the old designs obsolete, then their thrown away... It doesn't matter if it's steam, diesel, or whatever. Simply, if there's something better, they'll be replaced or gone..." - A class 08 shunter
And then just days later that same class 08 diesel would be scrapped too as duck would find out in Optimusprime2471’s sequel video to narrow gauge’s truth about scrap video. So sad 😭
This is just horrible and sad 😢 and because of climate change they’re modernizing trains to become environmentally friendly which means that older trains both steam and diesel are being replaced and scrapped. What a horrible world we live in. 😢
here is another major thing, electrics, electrics are not safe either, only a handful of the hundreds if not thousands of southern EMUs survive, only one 3-car suburban ''nutcracker'' coach is preserved, if anything, its worse for electrics, they are the least wanted out of the 3, steam is most wanted, diesel following shortly behind then a long way until electrics, out of the 2 units of the 4-car ''4-DD''s, only the 2 driving ends of 4002/4902 were preserved, one centre coach was almost saved, well, it was, until the museum at Ashford closed, it was cut up, then the cab coaches were separated and only recently reunited, Britain's only double decker train, the 4vep, Gordon Pettitt, is almost back to mainline running, it was taken by rail to waterloo on the 27/01/2024, the 4-sub, probably wont return to running ever again, the 4-cor, its been separated, highly doubtful it will ever return to the mainline, the list goes on, electrics are in danger, this isn't a story of the near past like for when diesels were in danger, THIS IS NOW, 1ST GEN EMUs ARE IN DANGER, THERE ARE SOME WHICH MIGHT BE SCRAPPED IN THE 21ST CENTURY, THE CLASS 309 ONLY NARROWLY AVOIDED SCRAP A FEW MONTHS AGO, WE NEED TO TAKE ACTION, AND FAST!
“We are no longer revolutionary…”
This video is actually deep.

So much for “We are revolutionary.”

0:26 hay class 40 open wide
Some steam engines and diesel engines don't deserve to be scraped
both steam and diesel are endangered, but now it's only diesels

So This Means Eletric And Bullet Trains Can Truly Be Free... Forever...
Not exactly, even Electric Locomotives and Bullet Trains aren’t immune from Scrap.
Eventually, the cycle repeats. And new better and more efficient engines will replace them someday
Rip tales brothers & sisters...
rip spam can....

This is actually sad...😢
Well….
NS 1073 might be next to get scrapped

Idk why diesels also get scrapped when they replaced the steam Locomotive in the 1950s
Looks Like Steam Engines Aren’t The Only Ones To Be Scrapped
Bro how does that even happened with that at 0:27
Crashed into barriers
Rip steam engine and diesel engine
Yea rip, this is a sad video and kinda reminds me of A Cruel Irony video that I made
