I love these jackets!! If you want to this jacket to be “warm”, get a lightweight cotton that matches your skin tone. Adhere it to the pieces of denim you cut away. Next, just fuse them behind your sheer fabric. It won’t be the exact same, but you get the look with the warmth. (This is also an excuse to make two 😉”.

Tip: It's a little easier to keep the denim flat if you iron the mesh on first & then cut the denim off
Genius! Thank you! It probably makes the cutting a little more awkward, but I did find it harder to get the sheer to lay flat on the shoulder panel because of the curve of the shoulder, and I wonder if having the denium there to help it lay more flat wouldn't have helped.

Did you use any Fray Check on the denim to keep it from fraying in the wash?
No but that’s a great idea! I also haven’t washed it yet so not sure how it will hold up but the stitch witchery should be enough. I’ll report back when I wash!
