I used student grade acrylics found in Australia. I think a good fabric medium is important for longevity but I’m not entirely sure how much of a difference student and professional acrylic paints make when it comes to mixing it with fabric mediums!
'Adding a fabric medium to the acrylic paint helps the paint stay flexible and fade-resistant. Without the fabric medium, the paint might start to crack or peel over time. You could try heat setting the paint with an iron (don’t put the iron directly on the painted surface) and it may extend the life of the paint' - i found this answer on a blog, hope this helps!
