considering it wasn’t a premeditated crime, I feel a little sorry for Karen as well. Although it is quite sad to think that Karen was going to die anyways if we created a mystery labyrinth for the original crime, and had the girls not taken their revenge, they wouldn’t have died.
This just shows how badly unsolved mysteries affect people. Because the truth is obscured, people take advantage of this coverup to commit crimes. The copycat Nail Man is an example of how an unsolved mystery begets more mysteries.
I'm looking back on this after having played it about a year ago. I am extremely torn up by this case. Its beautiful in a morbid sort of way. How the girls decided to work together, putting on one huge elaborate act to get vengeance for a friend. How the crime was laid out, how everything tied together, and just how sad the whole situation is. This kill is a tragedy based on a single girl's bad temper, and her compulsion to commit manslaughter, and how that seeds spread check the victims friends.
In hindsight, I can't help but feel sorry for the culprits, a death of a close friend and the Peacekeepers refusing to reopened the case because the victim's father has a much higher position amongest the Amaterasu Corporation ranks. It's not right, it affected the girls so badly, that it resulting in them killing Karen for what happen to Aiko.
Just as Shinigami said, unsolved mysteries weigh on the people around them, and the longer the mystery labyrinth exists, the stronger it becomes. When a mystery labyrinth becomes strong enough, it implants murderous thoughts in order to create new labyrinths. The main reason this mystery labyrinth came to be is because the prior case was left unsolved. The same could also be said during the Nail Man serial killings. Mysteries beget Mysteries, hence why regardless of why this crime happened, it would have to be resolved. Otherwise, Karen and Kirumi’s friends would repeat this cycle.
Has anyone thought about how yomi is even in charge it is a laws job to protect its citizens with a fair system how can it do that when they make bias and wrong explanations without logic involved
He’s just a tyrant, he reminds me of jake Horner in a way, completely one note selfish villain but the writers and the actor know he’s one note and selfish so they just have fun with him
Yomi's as bad as Miu, Kokichi, Haiji, Monokuma, and Tsumugi in Danganronpa. They take pelasure in abusing and killing innocents for their lust and greed. Honest and Seryu in Akame Ga Kill are no exceptions, horrifically, they're like Frollo in Notre Dame, a disgusting living being like the abusers Lucy had murdered in Elfen Lied because they think they're good, when in reality, they're disgusting cocksuckers who don't deserve to live.
As was said, the reason the case wasn’t reopened is because Amaterasu overruled the pleas of those involved. Kanai Ward is a town ruled over by Amaterasu, but that’s not necessarily the same as saying Kanai Ward is Amaterasu. Yomi is a dictator who rules over Kanai Ward under the delusion that he is the ruler of Amaterasu.
To tell the truth main character yuma is no better than yushiko, waren and kurane. He also kills murders. So he is basicly doing the same thing as them when they get revangance for aiko. This chapter really had sad ending. I even regret for solving this case. After this i considered droping this game. This really leaves bad taste in mouth.

This case will never be easy, and that for the rest of our life's. 😔 Come with the job, I guess...
