- Join me in making my Free Dream Catcher Pattern in a single colour. Head to my website to find the patten, grab your hook and yarn and let's get started.
MATERIALS:
Honestly it doesn't matter what yarn and corresponding hook size you use, as long as you have a ring big or small enough to fit.
In this video I used DMC Natura Just Cotton and a 3.5mm hook.
I thought it would fit the 250mm ring that I had...but it didn't so stay tuned for my next video when I make it in different colours (and have a ring to fit both lol)
Please note that this is in US terms.

I am confused. I did not see you do a chain 3 at the end of round 6. I thought you said 4 double crochets in first space, chain 3, then 5 dc, chain 3 all around. Shouldn't you have put a chain 3 before doing that last double crochet in the beginning 4?

What do I do if I need this project bigger. How do I extend it out further?
That's a good question. You could repeat the chain and sc rounds but you may have to adapt it slightly so it doesn't have too many stitches. X

Hey there. Came from your website. I'm on the 10th round and am confused. The pattern is missing an asterisk on the 10 round. Unfortunately, the video doesn't really clear it up for me. I get 2sc 2ch 2sc in the 3ch space and sc in the 1ch space and repeat... BUT there are two 1ch spaces side by side. Am I putting a sc in each of those 1ch spaces?
Hi Colleen, I've checked my website and I've added the * but the written instructions are correct. If you start in any ch-3 sp, you will make [(2 sc, ch 1, 2 sc) in the ch-3 sp, then you skip a stitch and and then make a sc in the ch-1 sp, skip a stitch] and repeat from [ to ] around. Hello there, all of my tutorials on here are in US terms 😀 if I mention a single crochet, that should give it away for US. As the UK terminology don't use this stitch.

Hello there, the great thing about this pattern is that you can use any yarn and corresponding hook size. Just find the right size ring for your finished piece.

Hi Fiona, sorry at this current moment in time I cannot. Have you tried pausing it after each round/stitch. Maybe try going over the one on the website stitch by stitch? The only way you'll get used to reading patterns and good at it (which you will 😊) is to sometimes jump in the deep end. If you need something to start with, I recommend looking up the Craft Yarn Council and their information on learning to read patterns. This is way too fast. I'm experienced with crochet but trying to keep US/UK conversions in my head and understand what is happening here is borderline impossible.

I really like the pattern but there are times when you go too fast and I have to replay sometimes more than once. Frustrating!

I think I found it. It’s the one you did in the multicolor.
I also just found out you can choose your video speed by clicking on three dots and selecting the one you like. (Learning something lol) yes mulit coloured and black is on the same page x
