This donghua is adapted from the novel Lighter and Princess Dress. A live action drama adaptation has started filming. I love this animated work. It's more fluid and expressive than other works I've seen and the characters never look to stiff like mannequins.

I really love the music, plot, character development, and overall storyline. Wish they showed more of Li Xun’s background so we can understand his character more. I know he is an underprivileged and probably had to work hard to get what he wants thus resulting him not liking to “waste time” and his arrogant attitude in the beginning but they did show a small glimpse of his mom (I assume) in the hospital. I hope there will be a season 2, looking forward to them finally confessing, overcoming the “mom” obstacle and long distance relationship (when he goes to Beijing) and growth in their relationship. I’d also like to mention that I really enjoyed the 3D animation movements in the characters, it flows really nicely and made my heart flutter at moments. The voice acting was also really perfect for the characters. I throughly enjoyed watching this and will definitely rewatch again. ❤️

Hmm you should watch Wo Shin Jian Xiao Bai. I think the animation studio it's the same that produced this donghua. It's a good Donghua, I really recommend you to watch it
