I’m so glad that I gave this series a chance because I was tired of kdramas and cheesy rom coms for years… but this show just hits different. It feels very real and authentic acting. The female lead is not cringe or dumb at all. The male lead wasn’t falling for her easily and he was truly cold. Gotta give Chen Feiyu credits for handling this heavy role at 22 year old.
Yep, his character is so realistic. That's exactly how cold characters should be portrayed, unlike others where the cold character flips 180 after a couple of episodes. The chemistry between both leads is lit. For people who know Arthur Chen, his performance isn't a surprise. He is a very talented actor. If you watch more Cdrama, you will notice that there are so many amazing actors and actresses below the age of 30, unlike Kdrama where most good actors are older, and you can't find many good young actors and actresses.
When u watch Chinese drama there is a lots of different between Korean drama Korean drama is all time chessy and feel like same story line.......bt there is also some good drama
Plus point is young heroines compare to korean dramas..but again k or c drama the heroes are having good masculine but heroines are short skinny with loads of make up

For anyone who confused about the first episode, the main lead is the one released from jail (Li Xun) and the female lead is the girl who just came back from abroad (Zhu Yun). There will be 17 episodes about their past when they were still in university, chasing for their dreams and build their future. This is a great story about youth, how a teamwork should be like, friendship, family and trust. I will not spoil the story but the male lead has a sad past story which has lead him to an awful decisions, when he is such a smart and talent person who has a bright future ahead and a girlfriend beside. There are villain team which we will be see them in season 2. And from now Li Xun will revenge and take back his company which he built with his girlfriend. The female lead has to live with her depression for 6 years.
This drama is getting better and better! Looking forward for the upcoming episodes. I have to download the App as i cant wait that for too long. Its getting exciting. Btw, how come the FL has a depression for 6 yrs? I thought only 3 yrs? When they have to break up . Did I miss something?

Just finished watching Lighter and Princess in two days. I have never done this before but I had to come here and leave a comment. This was one of the best cdamas i have ever watched. From the characters to the story to everything about this drama was perfection. Every cast member did an exceptional job. The ending scene leaves such an impact, such a heartwarming feeling. Couldn't help but cry and smile at the same time. Definitely recommend❤

In here Li Xun played by Arthur will appear with blond hair and later on doing black hair during college days and nearing their graduation up to the time he was put to jail . Now, the first episode that you watched was actually their current time. Zhu Yun played by Jingyi came back after staying abroad for 3 years ,then by that time Li Xun already served his sentence and came out of jail . Some comments said that first episode is boring but you need to watch or start watching where their story begins. I’m telling you , they won’t disappoint . This is by far the only Cdrama that I love until now 👌❤️

Ok just finished the drama and OMG!! By far one of the best dramas ever and by far one of my favorites. Absolutely loved this drama. Everything about it was perfect. The whole cast was so well put together. The ML and FL were so cute together and i was shocked when I realized that Chen Feiyu is only 22 years old, thats crazy. If there isn't a part 2 then I'm going to need Chen and Zhang to do another drama together. Anyways to future viewers I hope you enjoy it as much as i did :)
So..i had this qs. At ep 23 when zhu yun and li xun meet at the prison talking thru the phone and zhu yun asks li xun when did he start planning all this? (taking revenge of fang zijhing) And li xun responds that it was when he was at zhu yun's family door six yrs ago..what does that mean?? Like li xun and fang zijhing meet after that new year night...why was he planning about this before he even met fang zhijing??

I just finished watching this. I started watching Chinese dramas during covid and have been addicted since. I must say that this is by far one of the best dramas I have watched and I daresay, that you will watch. 10/10. The story line is great, it flows smoothly. The actors are terrific. I was 100% invested in their journey until the end. Bravo Bravo. I'm going to have to look for other dramas with the ML and FL. I'm a fan!!!

Ik a lot of people watch the comments first before starting the series so I'm literally here to tell you that this drama is definitely worth it No annoying second ml or fl. The fl is quite indipendent, strong and brave unlike the usual ones we see who rather cry everytime something happens and makes the ml deal with the mess. She definitely is the type to complete what she set her heart onto As for ml, our Li Xun aka Chen Feiyu has it all. That crazy guy who can sacrifice the world just to see her smile. I mean if you're the type to like that kind of guys, don't think twice n jumo into this drama. He's that crazy genius with ethics but only till someone doesn't mess with his girl or doesn't backstab him. After that he's an incarnation of devil as per quoted from the drama Ig the best part of the drama was that it wasn't just a strong male lead but equally strong female lead too. She won't cry, she won't whine, she'll do anything to keep his head held high. That's the best part ig. Character development is awesome for the leads and others too while chemistry is just smoking hot. It might be a bit annoying and confusing in start with all the time gaps and all, but just hang on for a few episodes after that this series won't let you go

Just finished watching Lighter and Princess in two days. I have never done this before but I had to come here and leave a comment. This was one of the best cdamas i have ever watched. From the characters to the story to everything about this drama was perfection. Every cast member did an exceptional job. The ending scene leaves such an impact, such a heartwarming feeling. Couldn't help but cry and smile at the same time. Definitely recommend❤

Btw, the opening ost is one the best too... just finished the drama earlier and I can say that this drama is really one of a kind! One of the Best 2022 Chinese drama! In here Li Xun played by Arthur will appear with blond hair and later on doing black hair during college days and nearing their graduation up to the time he was put to jail . Now, the first episode that you watched was actually their current time. Zhu Yun played by Jingyi came back after staying abroad for 3 years ,then by that time Li Xun already served his sentence and came out of jail . Some comments said that first episode is boring but you need to watch or start watching where their story begins. I’m telling you , they won’t disappoint . This is by far the only Cdrama that I love until now 👌❤️

Ok just finished the drama and OMG!! By far one of the best dramas ever and by far one of my favorites. Absolutely loved this drama. Everything about it was perfect. The whole cast was so well put together. The ML and FL were so cute together and i was shocked when I realized that Chen Feiyu is only 22 years old, thats crazy. If there isn't a part 2 then I'm going to need Chen and Zhang to do another drama together. Anyways to future viewers I hope you enjoy it as much as i did :)
So..i had this qs. At ep 23 when zhu yun and li xun meet at the prison talking thru the phone and zhu yun asks li xun when did he start planning all this? (taking revenge of fang zijhing)
And li xun responds that it was when he was at zhu yun's family door six yrs ago..what does that mean?? Like li xun and fang zijhing meet after that new year night...why was he planning about this before he even met fang zhijing??

I just finished watching this. I started watching Chinese dramas during covid and have been addicted since. I must say that this is by far one of the best dramas I have watched and I daresay, that you will watch. 10/10. The story line is great, it flows smoothly. The actors are terrific. I was 100% invested in their journey until the end. Bravo Bravo. I'm going to have to look for other dramas with the ML and FL. I'm a fan!!!

Since watching L&P , what I do is rewatch this drama every now and then . I’m hooked with their acting . I can’t helped but do comparisons . No annoying second ml or fl. The fl is quite indipendent, strong and brave unlike the usual ones we see who rather cry everytime something happens and makes the ml deal with the mess. She definitely is the type to complete what she set her heart onto
As for ml, our Li Xun aka Chen Feiyu has it all. That crazy guy who can sacrifice the world just to see her smile. I mean if you're the type to like that kind of guys, don't think twice n jumo into this drama. He's that crazy genius with ethics but only till someone doesn't mess with his girl or doesn't backstab him. After that he's an incarnation of devil as per quoted from the drama
Ig the best part of the drama was that it wasn't just a strong male lead but equally strong female lead too. She won't cry, she won't whine, she'll do anything to keep his head held high. That's the best part ig. Character development is awesome for the leads and others too while chemistry is just smoking hot.
It might be a bit annoying and confusing in start with all the time gaps and all, but just hang on for a few episodes after that this series won't let you go
