I loved the way you described them as reshaping themselves into three siblings whereas there had always been 4. Until you said that I never realised how true that could be. My sister and I lost our brother to covid and we are conditioned in our hearts to be three. It's been so difficult coming to terms with being 2 and finding our dynamic as siblings without him.
