WW1: Canada enters with the worst equipped and one of the smallest armies.. becomes the most feared and effective fighting force. Documented by German soldiers.
WW2: Canada’s raids in Sicily/Italy were one of the biggest turning points in the war which caused a break in the German/Italy forces allowing the U.S Army to proceed through Italy further into Europe. PLUS our actions in France and Belgium which there are to many to name.
None of you people have actually gone into battle against a Canadian, you literally do not know. It’s been documented by German soldiers who fought against them in WW1 and WW2 how deadly and feared the Canadians were, we were literally referred to as “not killable” they literally knew that if the Canadians were called to spearhead an operation the battle was already a loss. You guys were just unstoppable and have a pride nobody else does when in battle.

    • @madisonthorne4181
      @madisonthorne4181 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

soul creeper yep since 1954 we became a peace keeping military
They send is overseas to try and start a cease fire which doesn’t always happen but that’s what our military does violence isn’t the answer but we are part of NATO which has 28 countries involved and is one of most powerful military sources going right now
Plus who wouldn’t be scared of this
Other then maybe North Korea who talks about going to war with the USA but can’t seem to follow thru for some reason at least we know we have these guys if we ever need them NATO as of 2017 : Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States.
Then our partner country’s NATO partner countries are some of the most powerful military’s Also but funny thing so that North Korea is ranked higher then most nato members as a powerful military It’s almost as though nato invoked fear for no reason into them .

I met Canadian soldiers when I was in Montreal and we spent an entire morning into early afternoon together. I could never have imagined it was going to be just as great as it was. I imagined it to be good, but it was just amazing and awespiring! Canadians are very different people from Americans and value real values. Down here it just is not anywhere near as good, but you will find the further North you go the better it is. In America we don't have a professional Army we have a large Army. The only professionals are very rare here and I'm not in the Army although I always wanted to be a soldier. I can't. I have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. That ruined my chances. The Americans are too arrogant except the soldiers. Americans don't do it for me and although the soldiers are great people they can't fight as well as Canadians or British can. Also there's a real aura of something very special around Canadian soldiers I felt really strongly drawn towards them when we were together. It was incredible. If you have the chance to join the Canadian Armed Forces especially now that the Afghanistan nightmare is over do it. I'd recommend serving Canada. I also may eventually end up up North. I would not be surprised.

I am 42, and, looking back, one of the greatest regrets of my life is that I did not serve in the Canadian Armed Forces.
By now, I'm overweight, missing teeth, and getting grey hair. Sadly, I do not think the Armed Forces would accept me by now. I am damaged goods, but that is the simple price of time, of life. The one thing that remains is that I am still 100% Canadian.
As an older Canadian, I can offer solid advice in 2 words: School & Work.
Life in the Canadian Armed Forces is going to give you a lot of School & Work.
Yet, there is a greater thing: Canada, and, being a Canadian with all your heart.
I could go on and on and on for 1000+ pages, in passionate writing.
That said, sometimes, Wisdom is less words: and, thus, for now, I only give you two.
    School & Work
    John of Canada
    PS.
To the Canadian Armed Forces: I am sorry.
Perhaps, I am 20 years too late.

Let me give you some advice. Don't recommend to people that they should do something that you have not done first yourself.

As the comments listed, a step at a time. Your 40, not 60! You can still enlist and leave with full pension and great pay!
You need to get yourself physically fit in the least, and hell you don't need to go infantry (but you still can!) There are great jobs that are still combat roles such as artillery soldiers. You can also still serve, fire the guns, do the basic military qualifications course and ALL THE FUN STUFF, whilst still wearing the uniform and such by becoming one of the men (forget the name) who drive supplies to the front lines.
Basically, you do all the fun stuff but sit in a huge warm truck with a heater and radio, driving supplies around whilst in uniform. Also, you are required by policy to be given a minimum of 8 hours sleep before work, so you basically get paid to sleep.
      Do it

My grandfather was lieutenant-colonel in Canadian army during WW I, my
Father was lieutenant in Canadian army during WW II, two of my uncles
were also in Canadian army during WW II and myself, I was second
lieutenant in Canadian army during peace time. Fortunately, none of us
dies during our years of service. We have done our job to the best of
our habilities. I am the only one alive and I keep the sabre of my

The best army in the world prize goes to....CANADA! That's coming from an American, but there is no better country than Canada and no better soldier than a Canadian soldier. Canada has everything- progressive, beautiful, free moving, free thinking, nice pace to living day through day there, a lot of really great history, and my favorite sport hockey is the Canadian national sport. I'd love to retire to Canada. I've been to your country more times than anywhere else even here in the States and I love it. Keep up the great work Canadian Armed Forces. I'm leaving in a couple weeks for the forces, pretty stoked but nervous at the same time. So for the regular force, after your basic training, do you have to go directly for training for your trade occupation you've selected. And when you completed all your training including your trade occupation, do you have to stay longer before you can leave base for a little bit to see family and friends or do you have to stay on the job and serve directly after all the training?

Probably get attached to a US ARMY unit, USMC, British, or Australian unit on patrols with near immediate American or British air support. Especially with every Middle East war slowing down. Us Americans will back you up with overwhelming firepower to help our Brother and sisters to the North.
