I'm an actual mechanic too. When drea said "I could be a mechanic" my response: OH GOD NO! Putting on a belt without a pulley in place, yeah dude I don't know why it's overheating too. It certainly isn't missing a crucial driven pulley or anything so the fan and pump are working just fine. Slap a bunch of parts together, bolts are optional. Just hopes and prayers will make it run.🙄
Of all the crazy things Drae said about engines in this episode thinking that the radiator wouldn't need to be filled after an engine swap is my favorite. Never change Drae thank you for all the entertainment

But it looks like the V8 became too OP when combined with the recent traction update. I'll address those bugs you found too, but I have no idea how you did the creeper thing. If you ever want a tag on the warehouse just let me know.

Hey Drae, so the problem you're having with your engine overheating is because you never put the engine cooling fan back on the engine when you were upgrading the 4 cylinder. It goes in the front on the main pully. But I guess it doesn't matter anymore now that you have a new engine.
I love how every episode starts the same way, with drinking a beer. It's those special touches that makes watching Drae so much fun. That and the shenanigans, antics, and hilarious mistakes.
I just did a frame off resto to my truck which included rebuilding the engine and I wish it was that easy. Just throw parts at it and assembles itself. I love it.
Wonder what SBC it is exactly. I'm just going to assume it's a 350. Hopefully the game will have a reason for a 454 if there isn't one already by this point.

So how are you going to get the V8 transmission? The only one way the third race. Another wise the third race is worthless. So if you say his videos are wrong. Then need to watch the last video. Even people say you don't have to do the third race to get the v8. So third race has to be use for the v8 transmission which is not in the game yet.

Right now as the game sits the v8 block is open and free for EVERYONE to get. Later on the intention is to have the container locked and able to be opened through some challenges. Go play the game.. seriously. Play it. Launch a new game. Go to the container.. You can open it immediately and get the v8 block. It is NOT locked at this time and the developer will tell you the exact same thing. 🤦♂
Whether you like to admit it or not, going back to the Car Mechanic Simulator, you have an intuitive sense of what an engine needs to make it work - better than a lot of folks I know. I also give credit to the developers for being *fairly* accurate with the engine's assembly and making it fairly easy to install the needed parts. You would be amazed at the number of people that don't know the difference between a cam shaft and crank shaft much less recognize them side-by-side. On the other hand, mistaking the air filter for an "oil thingy" is something my x-wife would do, =D
Drae, grab a bucket, look straight down and place it. Just trust me. Also head behind the junkyard, there's a few trails back there and also a hill climb race.
yeah there was a transmission for the v8 but they deleted it along with the twin turbos for some reason and i think they are gonna add it back later because @camodogaming was wondering the same thing in his playthrough.
Love your enthusiasm Drae, but make sure you have the belts on and a harmonic balancer that's what you were missing on the small motor that's why it was overheating
The reason transmission looks so weird from underneath is because you are trying to connect a manual transmission to a torque converter. Torque converters are for automatics. Manuals use flywheels and clutches.
I love these. I can't do these things, I can't even simulate doing these things, but dammit I can watch Drae play a simulator of doing these things! Whoo!
The large gaps in knowledge are the best thing about this series. It would be boring if you already knew everything, I already watch real life vehicle restoration for that. I don’t know if anything will top him saying a couple episodes ago something like “ah we don’t have any oil in the engine but im sure it’ll be fine” and proceeded to start the engine, though.
Your engine overheated because you didn't have one of the gear wheels installed on the belt. Pause at 3:53. The negative money might have come from the poker match where you went for a negative amount. Some bad oversights on how this game code handles that sort of things.

Tho i am **very** biased bcuz i always pair purple, yellow, and green cuz theyre my favourite colours with purple and yellow tied for first and green only a mm behind. The three colours rly complement each other to me, and while theres no purple here, the yellow and green rly make each other pop nonetheless. (This is ofc a joke, as we all know that Drae has alrdy fixed the colour and the whole truck is yellow now, as it shud be)
