Jordan actually really sets up the moment well. My folks showed me the magical original trilogy when I was 10 in 1990. Then the 90's as a teen were the computer games and EU novels, all of excellent quality and Lucas approved. Then when the first movie in forever finally landed in 1999 it was like a nuclear bomb of anticipation, for both generations. What came next of course was mixed, but there's no denying it was a great, great moment.

what a painter of words, is Jordan. Some, as Conan pointed out("does this have anywhere to go?"), might say he's rambling or long winded and urge him to get to the point. But that was a STORY: beginning, middle, end. His storytelling was so effective that in less than five minutes, I came to care about the 'characters' in his story. I could see everything he described in vivd detail. Pointing out how Star Wars at that point in time was still "pristine" is such an important component to this story. That alone gives us so much texture to the entirety of his tale. I was more entertained by this story than I'd say 7 out of the last 10 new movies I've seen.
