    Awesome trip to GA. Next time, you should come to West GA and visit me! :D Can't wait to be able to do this. Still early in my PPC journey (12 hours). These videos are so encouraging.

      Stick with it. Don't postpone. Seriously. It gets ALOT more expensive if you pause training cor any reason.

    Very nice machine and well kitted out. Able co-Pilot and loved the “Don’t fondle the pilot!” 👍😎

    The trick to landing the 182 is using enough trim on final and before. That elevator is heavy and you want the trim to do most of the work for you.

      Couldn’t agree more!

      @@ZeroThreeDelta You did a great job. That amount of wind is nothing to scoff at. Also, I'm jealous at how fast that 182 is. The one I rent only cruises around 120kts.

    So great to watch you flying and enjoying what I dream but I can't achieve... take advantage of that and fly as much as you can

    Great video! Love the 182. And since your beating yourself up on the landing, I’ll go ahead and agree with you. Landings can always be better. It didn’t suck though😂 Fair Skies and Following Winds!

    Very nice, what's it like compared to the 172 ?. Back pressure on the yoke is quite heavy, what say you ? Thanks 😊

    • @ZeroThreeDelta
      @ZeroThreeDelta  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, very nose heavy thanks to the extra cylinders. Superb for cruising though.

    Just curious, what’s the resolution like on the 275s? Like how well can you see the numbers on the tape?

    • @ZeroThreeDelta
      @ZeroThreeDelta  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They’re excellent. It’s like looking at a steam gauge. No issues with clarity at all.

    So, what did you do at Jekyll? How did you get around, etc? I enjoy the videos; keep them coming.

    • @ZeroThreeDelta
      @ZeroThreeDelta  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, sadly all the camera issues forced me to scrap all the moving around while on the ground. We got around on a golf cart (available at the airport) and went to a restaurant and the historic district. We will go back again and I will definitely do more filming next time.

    • @coppi60

      @@coppi60 It’s advisable you book ahead of time, but it was Mother’s Day weekend so we played it safe. I believe it was $125 for a 24hr rental. The company is called ‘Red Bug Motors’.

    Gareth, that was a good landing and yes it could have been betterer, you should have taken off again and tried again... hahaha just kidding. Nice flight.. how long did it take to get the HP endorsement?

    • @ZeroThreeDelta
      @ZeroThreeDelta  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      About 3hrs - 1hr ground and 2hrs flying. Plus a little studying.

  • @ryans.5998
    @ryans.5998 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Did Lewis give you your High-Performance Endorsement? What kind of training do you need for that?

    • @ZeroThreeDelta
      @ZeroThreeDelta  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We were going to do it but his schedule didn’t allow, so I used a different CFI. It was 1hr ground and 2hrs flying. The ground is to cover the inner workings of a constant speed prop and air flow management and the flying was like a checkout, so maneuvers, emergencies and landings.

      That's good to know. I like how you are always in a different aircraft. Gives you more flexibility when renting. I hope to do the same when I get my license. (Currently at 32 hours)

    • @ZeroThreeDelta
      @ZeroThreeDelta  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@marktorrisi1754 I like having the option as Leesburg is technically the closest airport to where I live, and Apopka is 25 min. Orlando is 55 min but it’s still my favorite. Sadly, the fleet at Leesburg has just gone up in price, so a Cessna 172SP is now $179 + tax, so about $190 wet as opposed to the fleet at Orlando which is $140 wet including tax. I’d rather drive the extra 45 min to Orlando to save $50 per hour!

    • @ZeroThreeDelta
      @ZeroThreeDelta  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to disappoint. I wasn’t able to get a whole bunch of footage because we had to get before sunset as I wasn’t night current at the time and our departure from Orlando was delayed due to reasons beyond our control. We will go back at some point and shoot a proper video.
