I am 3 years late but I’ve been binging your channel and I love all your videos!! You are so funny and intelligent! Thank you for sharing soooo many interesting facts and I wish you the best!
Your videos are so good. You truly deserve waaaaaay more subscribers! What the heck youtube?! Why aren’t you suggesting this man?! I wanna speak to a manager....
Tom, I really can’t believe that your channel didn’t explode yet. You’re so underrated. Hope it’ll happen soon, you really deserve it. See you at your next live tour and a trivia question.😉 Wish you an amazing Wednesday. Love and support from Croatia 👋🏻🇭🇷🇺🇸🙃
Not gonna lie, Tom. You are the best youtube guide to NYC I've seen. Been to NY several times and read a ton of books on its history, but all these juicy historical nuggets you keep throwing out there are just brilliant!
Tom - one of the best (maybe the best) of your video tours that I have seen. An excellent mix of history, trivia, travel tips, pop culture, personal stories, and humor. Great pacing and timing. You crushed it!
This was great! I was in NYC...am In NYC...But I was here during the real lockdown and I actually was in Times square during the height of COVID. lockdown..This video had far more people in it than when I was there at the time...It was like the apocalypse hit, so crazy and empty. I walked through three weeks ago and it's pre covid density is back....OY VEY, I prefered it otherwise! Thank you for this video!!!!!!
Tom, you are without peer in providing accurate information. And I stress the word "accurate". There are a lot of walking tours of NYC on TH-cam. However the information which they state as being fact is often crazy wrong. So you are The Man for detailed, correct information. You're funny& entertaining as well. By the way, please do not use God's Holy Name in vain. You have a wide audience. Thanks Tom.
Lovely documentary on my favourite city. First visit was October 1986, flew out with Pan Am into JFK. Saw Genesis at Madison Square Garden, and fell in love with the place. Been to New York 15 times from England. Love to walk everywhere, 🚶♂️ stopping off at the B&H Dairy for Yankee Bean Soup and Challa Bread.....mmmmm. Coming over from England, I fly into Newark, and get the train to Penn Station. Stay in and around the Chelsea area. Love going to gigs at the Garden, Radio City, Beacon and the Bowery Ballroom. Watching the New York Rangers and the Yankees play Walking over the Brooklyn Bridge, found lovely places to eat, and amazing book shops What I love about New York, is it's 24/7, you can walk everywhere, sells my favourite brew, Miller MGD, the champagne 🍾 of all beers Planning my next trip for March 2024, my birthday. Stay safe New Yorkers 🌎🌎
An EXCELLENT half-hour walk/mini-tour of 42nd St. You, TomD, were introduced to me by "ActionKid" via TH-cam not too long ago and I was very impressed by your style and humor. You have you own unique take on the Greatest City in the World. Love it!
Your TH-cam channel is very well researched & informative. Just keep on blogging & very soon you will be surprised you will hit a million subscribers already.👍
I'm a new subscriber, I'm a little obsessed with new york tours at the moment and yours are the best, not only are you very intelligent and knowledgeable but i also find you very funny!! Oh and easy on the eye 😉😂
Hey Tom, This is amazing. I'm from Stirling in Scotland and been to NYC last 2 years. It's my favourite place Bryant park especially and you bring it back to life for me. Many many thanks. Andy
I found your channel by accident.... a very welcomed one I might add. Love the videos, they're interesting and informative but also lighthearted. Thanks for making them......
Yo Tomas, it’s your old pal Paul Ketterman. This video randomly popped up in my feed. I had no idea you were a tour guide. I’ve lived here for 12 years now and you just told me a ton of info I’ve never heard. Good stuff man, I really liked it! Subbed 😎
This should be required viewing for all US history students. I'm 46 and I've been watching this with earbuds, pausing to tell my 16 year old some trivia - and he's just as impressed, lol. Like the explanation of the term Broadway and why Times square is times square and the place for New Years countdown.
Big fan if the self plugs! You pack more info in to one tour than all the knowledge in my head. Your making wanna goto NY city but during covid when it’s not so busy, so maybe I won’t make it.
My virtual friend, you are absolutely second to none! Good fun! Been to 37 countries around the world, nothing compares to NYC and its extraordinary diversity. You capture its grandeur and liveliness perfectly! Thank you for your wonderful work!
I totally agree about Bryant Park's bathroom. It's the cleanest and prettiest public bathroom I have ever been to. Love my city. I cannot wait for it to get back to its normalcy. Great video.
Just discovered you from ActionKid and Sarah Funk...I’m really diggings you knowledge and caffeinated, rapid fire humor....I appreciate you show raw footage and capture glimpses of everyday New Yorkers living life..
WOW SUPER TOM, best City Walk ever. See soooo many more F A N C Y 😂 Places as I was there in Midtown 1998. Thank You so much. Many GREETINGS from Germany. I love your CITY WALK ❤️
I absolutely love your channel. You know so much. Such great content. I used to do tours of NYC as well. Driving a van and talking. Imagine all the honking! 😆
What I love about NYC it is not just 1 city, Manhattan but 5 different cities (boroughs) in one. And if you run out of places to visit you can walk over the Washington Bridge to Fort Lee, New Jersey across the the Hudson River.
I can't believe I just watched an entire half an hour video with a guy walking and talking on the sidewalk. Glad to discover your channel. Will check out your other videos later. I am really surprised that NY hasn't opened up yet. Makes no sense now to remain closed.
Excellent stuff once again. We did the self same 42nd Street walk back in 1981 starting at 9th Avenue and parts of it were a bit scary back then before it was Disney-fied. We didn't feel safe in Tudor City for example but look at it now.
Thanks, great videos, lot of knowledge. and coolness, took me on a tour to a city I really love and miss during this pandemic. lower east side tour was wonderful too
You have such magnetism. Love to hear you talk. Personally if I was talking to you I would worry about getting a word in, edgewise. So full of knowledge.
Thank you for taking the time to do this amazing video. I am from Florida I went to New york three years ago with my family, and I was very surprised how nice everybody was. I love New york. It bothers me when people say bad thingsa bout New Yorkers I always correct them... I say NOT my EXPERIENCE . Thank you for sharing. As soon as They open up I will be walking in New york.
I am from Illinois and was in NY a few yrs ago w/family. We found the city to be friendly and fun. Lots of walking but hard to squeeze even half of the good stuff in over a short time so I'm anxious to return. This time with Tom's help, we will have a better idea of where to go for sure.
Finally the most overqualified tour guide returns.
Ha, thanks! I'll take that as a compliment!
I would hire him!
Love this guy
