It's a really great story. I am a huge critic of written stories, both fiction and non-fiction. I could visualize the scenes as each paragraph was laid out. It is such a pleasure to spend valuable time on.
This story was very well done. Not too long, and you brought us full circle with a clean, clear ending. Bravo! Only a couple of mispronunciations. Otherwise, this was Excellent!

Being one, I think you can‘t generalize that. I‘ve met hundreds of them, and a pretty large amount of them simply hated math and were anything but good at it, just like myself. Although I admit, being good at math would be a huge advantage at exploring and understanding musical theory! One would most likely succeed much faster in mastering the instrument of choice. I would be worried about that man performing an autopsy on anyone! Did he not notice the lack of blood coagulation? Blood clots are visible to the naked eye after death and when he cut into her she would have bled normally as the blood had not clotted, this usually takes place very quickly, 3 to 15 minutes after the heart stops beating. Then she has just woken up after being injected with a heart stopping drug and the Dr gives her a sedative?! FFS, if you want to live don't go to this hospital. 🤣
Happens from time to time. My DIL woke up in the morgue after being declared dead. I'd say it was a story but I have seen her pass out and have no measurable BP or respirations and then wake up as if nothing happened.

Suddenly realizing the young woman showed no signs of rigor mortis, he began further investigation. The slight puncture wound he had just created, was located in fatty tissue and quickly clotted, alerting Tyler that her body was functioning normal. Seeing no blood, Tyler proceeded to check our Denise's condition and quickly realized she was certainly alive. 😁
Most of comments about this story has me worried about the education of these people. If people are alive, they bleed when they are cut. Have these people lived in the real world?
I actually laugh at this but actually because of MY ignorance. My first instrument? Violin but that was because I mixed it up with the trumpet?!? Yeah, I was darn young at the time. I got what I asked for DESPITE meaning trumpet the entire time. So in that mistake? I learned violin first and trumpet second but? Like ANY instrument to be mastered properly? Takes time, effort and passion and I was a young kid so I mastered neither. I also had a personal weakness because instead of learning how to read sheets of music? Reading books already had a hold on my heart, especially science fiction and fantasy. Still do actually as I still love curling up with a solid fantasy novel even now. Moonlight Fantasy anyone? Save I am annoyed how long this series reads sometimes but is STILL a joy to read, just wishing it could do it at a faster pace. It's weak point? Too many details leading up to the punch point but then again as an author myself? I understand how hard it IS to drop details without dropping critical points in YOUR story as you make it.

GOOD LUCK, you'll need it! LOL Maybe you'll want to read mine? Title is Fairy Child. Wrote it in three short months because I was on fire! Full novel, almost 400 pages if I remember correctly. Also finished it about 15 years ago but never had the fortitude to publish it.
It is a great story. I only wish I could write stories like this. I attempted to write about the car wreck I had in 1971. Then I asked her for help. What she told me caused me to give up. The story was too fantastic.
The pronunciation of the word bow changes with it's meaning. The bow used on a musical instrument is pronounced with a long o, "bow" meaning to bend your head down from the waist has a short "o" as in ouch..

I know that people don’t like critiques, but when they are intended for a positive result, they should be accepted as a gift and ego should not get in the way. My comment is minor, but will result in your narrative being accepted as being better educated and informed grammatically. You pronounced BOW as bawl (sort of). The problem is between the use of a long vowel O versus a short vowel O in BOW. When it is a short vowel it is pronounced bow for both the weapon 🏹 and the bow that is strung with twine of sort to play a violin 🎻 like in your story. But when it is pronounced with the O as a long vowel, it’s pronounced bow 🌿 like a large branch of a tree: ie. The Christmas wreath was made from Holly bows. It is also pronounced the same way when someone bows to another person 💃🕺🧎🏽♂️during a dance or very formal reception, or a karate session. I hope that I have not made the English language more confusing than it already is, but, when a word is mispronounced with an incorrect meaning to the context that is intended, it causes the actor/narrator to appear to be poorly educated/trained.
