This is such a good goodwill story. It reminds me of my childhood sitting & listening to radio shows in the deep forest of interior Alaska. It was soothing in a way & entertaining at the same time. We would sit around the fire of the barrel stove. The adults with their coffee while us children had real coco & marshmallows. I liked having hot tang usually. Listening to this really brought back memories of 40 & 50 yrs ago. I really enjoyed it. Maybe you will too.

a very wonderful story. the story of a young girl working for her grandmother and sister. two people in the company she worked for more or less looking for her and later made all her dreams come true. Glad she and the boss got together and the other man found love with the grandmother. had to wipe my eyes twice while listening to this clip. thanks for something different then most that I watch about greed and people hurting people. What a sweet and delightful story. No life is always full of sunshine, but neither does it have to be only cloudy. It could be in taking care of Julia, Lily encountered the change that led her to the rewards she was given at the end of the story. It takes a special person who is able to rise above adversity and not become bitter with life.
But what happened to Sandra? Did she quit after seeing Lily and Finley exit the meeting? With Lily wearing the blue dress Finley gave her. Sandra is a prime example of a person who is bitter towards life. They see themselves as having been given a raw deal in life. Maybe it's the way she was raised. Maybe in school she was left out by those considered the in crowd. Maybe she was bullied and resolved not to be one again. Whatever her reason, Sandra made herself into a person no one wanted to be around.
Such a beautiful story and well narrated. I’m so emotionally touched.

Lily was a nice young girl. Hee humbleness made her to be whi she was. Though she is quite good at her work as junitor she is a smart girl. Now she help her boss in a negotiation that success. Now she was promote and her boss see is an asset to his company. Lily now become someone special to her boss. Nice ending.

Lily’s kindness and care for her sister Julia and grandmother Grace earned her the respect of her boss Finley.Lily had worked in Finley’s company as a janitor. Lily worked in this humble job to help provide for her sister Julia and grandmother Grace. He was also grateful to Lily for saving his son Travis from the stray dog during the company picnic. Gratitude and admiration turned to love and he confessed his love to her.Lily too told him that she loved him.Finley’s son Travis was very attached to his rescuer Lily. Presumably, Lily and Travis got married and Lily helped Finley to raise Travis. The story should have specifically mention this. In the meantime, Peter Holland the security guard who was a confidant to both Lily and Finley started a relationship with Grace, Lily’s grandmother. Finley had also arranged for Lily’s sister Julia to attend a school for pupils with special needs thus fulfilling her need for an education. Prior to that, Finley had offered Lily and her grandmother and sister to live in his country house which Lilly had gratefully accepted as she was unhappy about being separated from Grace and Julia when she had moved to the city. I’m glad that these wonderful people found happiness.It is not known what happened to the nasty Sandra. She must be very upset and jealous to see Lily’s close relationship with Finley.
