Thanks, I wasn't familiar with this but I'm definitely interested in learning more.

Awesome reminds me of my first field service tech job! I had one of those pagers and a giant analog cell phone! 73 de VK2AOE

I think back to my first HT, which had crystals, and then having to add a tone board to it. It's amazing how far we've come, but some technologies hang on a bit longer. Long live the POCSAG pager :)

@@spurious_emissions I appreciate my friend Andrew for sharing it with me :) Thanks for sharing info with us!! I'm going to share this with my group. We'd like to see more on this if you happen to make anything more. Thanks! Imagine. Carrying a pager again! Ha ha! Oh, one thing. Does this tech rely on the web for anything or is this strictly HAM? Thanks in advance for any info.

There is no Web interface for sending or receiving. It is just for Amateur Radio. It does use the Internet to connect to the transmitters and hotspots around the world.

I am just getting back into DAPNET after a few years break and it is a lot of fun. I would be interested in somehow getting DAPNET messages via an Android App or email as well as via the pager, I'm sure it would be possible but I have not seen it done.

Yes, I have been searching for the same. Sending is nice, but would be nice to receive via another method as well.

Back in the day, I couldnt afford a numerical pager, only a beeper to call home. I had no idea this was a thing on ham radio. I wonder if its in Australia.🤔

I saw there was a github repository at github.com/VKAPNET, but not sure how active it is. Their public Web site doesn't appear to be working but looks like there was some DAPNET occurring in Australia.
