Crap to Cream, MGB Resto, Pt 41. Transmission tunnel carpet install & Centre console install.

Doesn’t look like a whole lot has been done, messing around with the cables that go to the heater controls seems to take forever to get right. Had to install the transmission tunnel carpet first, bit of a challenge after lying flat for a couple of years. Radio wiring, I've started that little journey now. New spare wire rim has arrived, still waiting for the new fuel tank.

It's much easier to connect the heater valve & demister /car heat on/off cables to the control switches before the lower console is put in. Once connected, then fit the console & then insert the switches into the lower console & fit the nuts & star washers using a long socket to tighten up taking care to get the orientation of the switch gear to match the decals on the console.

Morning Charles, Ah Ha....sounds oh so logical when you say it like that, thank you, and if I ever do this again I'll bare this in mind. When I took things apart neither cable was attached, the heater valve was held closed with a cable tie and the other cable was missing or broken I can't rememeber which now, I know the console just came out, I didn't need to disconnect anything, well we live and learn, I'll mention your insight in the next vid, again, thank you..
