I’m currently learning UE4 at college and was wondering how well Danganronpa would work in the engine. This is absolutely amazing and really shows that it can be done.
Over a year and a half of trying, and never getting anywhere close. I'm just both saddened and happy to see this. Sad I am no where near this, happy because this is beautiful. It is absolutely everything I knew UnReal could do for Danganronpa.

Sorry for not posting another video, but don't worry, stuff is getting done. We just need to finish up some art and then we'll be ready to release a first playable tech demo. At the same time, we'll be getting a discord server and start to look for voice actors and some artists, so be sure to subscribe to get notified once you can play the demo and apply for positions! And just to clarify, there will be new characters, new murders, new trials, new minigames, new everything! The canon DR cast was just used for this one video, we don't plan to keep them.
You should make a kickstarter or a patreon for this. It looks incredibly promising. Do you plan on financially compensating the artists and voice actors? If yes I think this could be a really high end project and would love to lend a hand with sprite and execution art.

However, as a fangame, we have to stay as far away from money as we possibly can, so we can't get a Patreon or Kickstarter. This looks so smooth! Mostly everything is recreated faithfully, and just as good as the original! One thing to work on will be adding toon/anime shaders to all the 3d modelled objects, like the stands. Great work!
I like the small functions you added, as well as the goodly cropped and sourced assets. I can see a lot of effort was put into this. The only “bad” thing I see is the menu, but I’m assuming it’ll be improved over time. Overall a great job, and I love that you can look around with the camera like a freemode, it’s pretty cool.
