"In a kinder universe, she would have walked away from Scarif. I cannot imagine who she would have become, but I think she would have been extraordinary." ―Mon Mothma reflecting on Jyn's short life
This is incredible! This captured the beauty of Rogue one so perfectly. The part of Rogue one many don't see is how determined all these characters were and how unpredictable the story felt at times and how deep each character went out. Rogue One felt unlike any star wars movie. To me it is the first star wars movie that didn't feel like a set up to sequels at the end. It felt so complete. We got by far the most powerful third act in star wars ever with all the characters trying to bring the rebellion to justice. A character evolve so much like Jyn. Other's like Anakin took 3 movies along with Luke and Rey we don't know her back story while Jyn we see her character involved from a child hiding from her to rebellion fighter fighting head on. And this is the first star wars movie where we don't need a ton of crazy things about characters like "why they are the chosen one" or "he will destroy the sith" "this one is strong with the force" In Rogue one these characters are fighters determine to bring hope to the galaxy and it feels far more human and heroic. Because It's like a saying most veterans in the army admit they start out at regular people but then when they fight in the war they prove them selves at something big and filled with honor. Rogue One did it in a well told way. These characters don't need to be strong in the force, they don't need over the top weapons, and they need to be the most powerful beings in the galaxy. They need the strength and will and honor to make it this far into a war. And it is the saddest kind of honor to sacrifice yourself to bring good to a whole galaxy. And that is why Rogue one is a masterpiece in my eyes and the most surprising entry of Star Wars I've seen in years. I cried at how dark the wrath the empire truly in this movie. And how these people did so much to bring the rebellion the death star plans. It was an incredible ride and thank you so much for making this outstanding video that captured the greatness Rogue one has made so well.
Thank you for the kind comments :) I totally agree with you on everything that you pointed out. I honestly enjoyed Rogue One more than TFA, but that's just my opinion. And that Darth Vader hallway scene is so, so good that it really made RO one of my top 5 favorite Star Wars films. But the characters and the story are what sold the movie for me. Of course, Jyn Erso is my favorite from the film, but the others were so compelling as well. I love how the film (which you made point on) shows the true wrath of the Empire and doesn't really show the Stormtroopers as some bumbling fools getting beat by some Ewoks with sticks/rocks. Although, Chirrut does kick the crap out of some with his staff. Like you said, the third act was really powerful in terms of action and emotion. When I watched the film for the second time in theaters, back in December, I could just feel the shock and emotions flowing throughout the theater when the characters slowly die one-by-one. I could even recall hearing a child crying when we see the final shot of Jyn and Cassian "embracing" each other before they killed. But I feel that this film made the Star Wars fan in me really happy to be alive in this new era of Star Wars films. -Carl
This edit, I think, perfectly captured the whole of Jyn Erso - the gravity of her actions, the spirit of her character, the legacy of others that she bears and what she means to the galaxy - 'hope'. Hope begins with her. This is just, wonderful. Even if I didn't read the description, I can tell just from the video how profoundly you understood and loved her as a character. As a fellow Jyn fan, I thank you for this
I really enjoyed this tribute to Jyn Erso, Star Wars Rogue One was the best movie to come out in 2016!!! Jyn Erso sacrificed herself to help the Rebellion get the plans for the Death Star, without her Luke Skywalker wouldn't have been able to blow it up in New Hope. May the Force be with you always Jyn Erso, your contribution to the Rebellion will never be forgotten!!! George
i dont think any one could have done it better i hate type casting people but when a name is mentioned sometimes i cant help thing and say thats what the person would look like if they were real lol
I totally enjoyed roque one. books I,ve read in the pass had bits of how the plans got stolen . it was dark and the underdogs and a struggle ,with a lotta lost of unknown heros. I,ve been waiting a long time for this to be made. after return of the jedi was made. Thankyou Felicity Jones for being around on being Jyn Erso. she had a hard life. and lost her dad twice. plus the one she could off been with rest of her life at the end. I,ve got lot off respect for Jyn Erso . she help to pull the rebel alliance together
Jyn Erso is the best. Rest in Peace, Stardust. You will be in our thoughts as we watch MaRey Sue and Daisy "Look I Can Widen My Eyes" Ridley in Episode VIII.
That Star Wars fans, is the reason why we have an original trilogy in the first place: not just the team rogue one, but the one who inspired the entire rebellion: it was girl power that we never knew about till now. Her name is Jyn Erso. 😥😌
I deeply love Jyn Erso, so I love this deserved and fantastic tribute. I totally agree with the way you see this character, a true rebel, a true heroine.
Jyn has always been my favorite female Star Wars character, she’s the best written, and I feel she is the prettiest character as well. This was very well made. Great job man
Really great work, great edit and music choices as well. Jyn's story is a severely underappreciated part of the film. You have captured her nearly broken heart that still clings to a glimmer of hope .
An absolutely stunning and perfect tribute to such an amazing and wonderful character. You've truly captured Jyn in this video. I think this is perhaps one of the best videos on this channel (and given how incredible each and every one of your videos are, that's saying something). I can't wait to see the rest of the Rogue One tributes.
Thank you so much for kind words Tegan Marie :) Honestly, my favorite part to make was the bit after the 2:40 mark, with my favorite piece from Michael Giacchino, who also composed the score for Rogue One. -Carl
The hero Rey should have been. I may be a rebel here, but Rogue One is the greatest of them all. Most won’t agree, some will even hate, but I’ll take the next chance and the next and on and on until enough people agree with me or the chances are spent.
I like Jyn and whole rogue one team and movie way more than Rey and Force Awakens i dont watch yet last jedi but i have hope that it will be better than Force Awakens
Amazing portrayal of a journey of Jyn Erso from start 2 finish U caught the spirit of a beginning & end that I wish both survived some how those 2 could've been a great couple thanks 4 this great portrayal of 2 Character's Skywalker Productions 🥂 2 U
This is how to show and not tell, the balance between what we want Vs what is practical, the realities of the task, it all lies in taking that first step, and the next, and the next, until all the chances are gone and then we’re done, while initially defeatist it is overwhelmingly positive, we will find a way to find the plans
On par with 'Empire strikes back -possibly better ? This was the best Star wars film since the original by far. Head and shoulders above the rest. Disney just need to bring Gareth James Edwards back to direct. It adds soul to the film which has been missing from all the others. Period.
You are the stars I see every night across the galaxy Stardust. I'm referring to you Felicity jones for telling a story that changed my life in Star Wars 😌😥
In a way I guess your right, a big aspect that comes to mind is keeping the fight going even when you know you're losing (For Reach that shines through in the New Alexandria skyline mission, when noble 6 is taken through a city that's slowly being torn apart his body language says defeat but he still has a planet to save and so he keeps going even when deep down he knows the Covenant are stronger, in Rogue One it shines through during the Scarif finest hour, the rebellion dived straight into hell if you will yet they soldiered on and only just managed to succeed) Then there's passing the torch and setting tye scene if you will (In Reach that shines in the second to last mission where it's essentially a last race against everything and upon completion you've passed the torch, in Rogue One it shines through during the final moments when the rebellion only just managed to get away with the plans despite Darth Vader showing up and as a result they passed the torch) Sorry if I'm rambling, this may not make any sense at all but I see what you're getting at

I'm not crying... it's just sand in my eye.
Daphne Noble I don’t like sand. It’s coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere.
Sorry...couldn't resist
Lmfao well played Bruce Snow
...or is that star dust in your eyes
I don’t like sand.....

I LOVED Felicity in the film! Her character was one hardass who refused to back down!
Nice tribute! I really love Jyn Erso, is a wonder character and a lonely and beautifull girl, so sad her end.

This is the only Disney era star wars film I even count as a star wars film and cannon. Definitely need these writers and director back.
this is brilliant
Great vid !
Thank you! :) -Carl
Heroine of the rebellion is what I should also call her
Made me cry🥲 beautiful
Sublime.
You're gonna make me cry
The Force chose her.
The most insignificant person, who chose despite the overwhelming odds, to gamble all for a fragile hope.
My favorite Star Wars movie along with Revenge Of The Sith and my favorite character along with Ahsoka
oh my god i didnt cry in the movie but in this video...
NO PRICE IS TO GREAT FOR VICTORY,HOPE,AND FREEDOM

Gripping Stuff. Well edited trailer and up to your usual high standard stuff.

Beautiful video. You should make another one, but use Stardust by Gemini Syndrome as the music
We are all made of Star Dust
This should have been the movie trailer.
God, I hope Felicity Jones has seen this! 😭😥🤧😌
you honored her well.
why isnt the video available
This was very similar to Bridge over the river Kwai.Sir Alec Guiness was the star of that film incidently.
The strongest stars have hearts of Kyber.
Lady Stardust🌟🎴🎇🎆🍻

She shot that stormtrooper right in the nads
SAVE THE REBELION, SAVE THE DREAM!!!!!
I think Jyn is gorgeous tbh

Lex Schoones Me 2
She shoots a guy in the you know

The rouge one story is kinda like halo reach when you think about it

Then there's passing the torch and setting tye scene if you will
(In Reach that shines in the second to last mission where it's essentially a last race against everything and upon completion you've passed the torch, in Rogue One it shines through during the final moments when the rebellion only just managed to get away with the plans despite Darth Vader showing up and as a result they passed the torch)
Sorry if I'm rambling, this may not make any sense at all but I see what you're getting at
I understand.
😭😢😥🙂💕👍

The only good movie about Star Wars from Disney...
