When Nick mentioned the high passive perception, all I could think of was "No one give that to Orym" 😂 I know he's not a divine avatar, but could you imagine a passive perception of over 60?
The way that Brennan was able to embody powerful beings like the Planetar, as well as one of the most prodigious Archmages in the city of Aeor, and make them sound so scared really hammered home just how terrifying the power of the gods can be. And that happened in the first half of this episode, before all of the insanity of this battle truly unfolded.
the ruiner is so chill tho. Like the annoying brother that becomes the favourite uncle. I adore that Brennan said that "it makes sense for the ruiner to deliver the punchline because he is literally shattering the tone of the conversation". It really makes you wonder if the betrayers just haven't discovered the other ways their domains could manifest. I like to imagine that the Spider Queen and her domains of deception and wisdom could be interpreted in the context of SPINNING a tale (or a metaphor). If you think about it, fairytales are a series of fantastical lies that subsequently lead to valuable knowledge and/or morals. I also find it interesting that Asmodeus in the prologue faced the darkness and asked to be "let through". In my head cannon, he (out of fear of the outcome) did not actually want to be let through but wanted to protect his siblings, resulting in him lying to himself. Thus his manifestation of reality is denial which could be represented by both trickery AND war. In my experience, being in denial feels like being at war with yourself.
I’m not confident in your spider queen assessment, but the rest of it feels super on point! Especially the Asmodeus stuff. This whole series was so much more, lore wise, than I could’ve asked for.
THANK YOU for this! I've been trying to wade my way through this episode for over a month, and haven't been able to watch any of the later episodes because of it. Your recaps are Exactly what I needed!
theory So Ludinus is having bells hells watching a recording of the fall of Aeor. Here is thing after the wish spell that the poem got sent to all the Aeor wizards. Did that get recorded also from what they are watching. And did Ludinus just trick bells hells into getting the plans downloaded into their heads also so the gods would want to kill them also now.
I’m actually thinking about all of the bubbles of protection / suspended time that are around the remains of Aeor. Do all of the entities within those hold the knowledge of the weapon? What happens if one of those are opened in a way that preserves / restores those within?
There is also the part where the Arch Heart read out the poem to Selina and that would presumably also be recorded by the memory crystals. (Unless the display was already fritzing.)
The way I’d imagine it is biologically they were standard mortals. It was a divine spirit/essence in a mortal shell. So if they had kids, those kids would inherit her biological traits but not her divine spirit/essence. Apologies for any who are offended by this next comparison. I’m think their incarnation is more like how Jesus is believed to be have full godhood in his spirit and fully man in his body vs how Zeus was said to wear the illusion of a mortal but was always really fully god Zeus.
It sounds like the avatars are regular mortals, but they can sorta be cast aside for the gods they represent to come through bit by bit. So I would imagine they are mortals, but maybe they have the potential to be really powerful clerics (if they worship the everlight maybe as a requirement because of their existing connection?)
I believe it was in the 4-Sided Dive last night (it is out publicly now) that Brennan confirmed that the silver dragon was Bolo.
Yup bolo was the silver dragon
And she did get the drinks😂
She only wanted to be a reporter :'(
The look of immediate regret when Ashley remembered she had given Brennan a family to hurt her with

Wow thanks for the recaps! I just finished rewatching the episode but it was way too much and I really needed to wrap this up!

This episode was MASSIVE! But your breakdown helped me catch all the stuff I missed ❤

14:59 another fun fact n the 4 sided dive they just did Brennan confirmed this silver dragon was in fact Bolo lmao
Thankyou for making these. They help an old man remember the plot.
Bolo is up there too
Did you hear what Brennan Lee Mulligan said canonically about the identity of that dragon?
Ah yes y’all did!

@@ivanheffner2587 yoooo i had the same thought!!

Are Hailey and Topher demi gods if they're 1/2 God? If so couldnt they live for centuries and be around during the campaigns?

I would say they'll have many Aasimar as their descendants.
in four sided dive Brennan called them demigods
The Nona T-Shirt! I love it ♡
15:00 four sided dice - brennen revealed the silver dragon is the Bolo Cameo we waited for ^_^
I find it very charming that in your accent the phrase “hall of scrolls” sounds like “hole of skrulls”
I hope you cover that Bolo was the silver dragon in this fight (brennon confirmed on recent 4 sided dice)
I do not as I filmed before 4 sided dive aired.
19:18 o7 general reactions
Knowing now who the Silver Dragon was, it puts an entirely different spin on this combat. ;)
Great.
Happy belated 🎉
