First I'm not without sin, I commend the Men(s) for opening the shop (looks good). I would never leave my Country, I would have stayed and fought for free Syria "Death to Tyrants!" May you find Peace.

+Jack Wongen It is much harder fighting when you have little to no weapons and an entire family to protect. Assad has this many weapons and has a cold hearted military.

3AProduction I think you should take a look at Eva Bartlett, Patrick Henningsen, Vanessa Beeley, Prof. Tim Anderson, Sharmine Narwani and the Jimmy Dore show if you want news on Syria. They do very good reporting on Syria and some of them are actually reporting from Syria and talk to actual Syrians in Syria instead of barfing out the same garbage the mainstream media pull out of their ass.

The United Nations has gone on record stating that Toronto is the most cosmopolitan city in the world and I could not be happier. We recently had a very welcome influx of Syrian refuges and it's just great that they can get foods from their homeland. This looks sensational and I have had some, but not all of these treats. I hope this will encourage all Torontonians, regardless of their background, to visit and partake of this feast. Thank you for sharing this!

Note to all those who find these pastries sweet. Have them with Mediterranean or regional strong coffee ( or milk for the kiddies). As they were made for each other. Ice cream is good too.

I truly enjoyed watching your video and your lovely attitude and great sense of humor while discovering the amazing and excellent pastries of Aleppo. I got to discover the same sorts of pastries in gorgeous Lebanon when i went there less than ten years ago. it’s considered one of the healthiest and most flavorful gastronomy I’ve ever had! I discovered it in its best form when I went to study Arabic at the American University of Beirut about nine years ago. That was a revelation! I love the food and fine pastries of Syria and Lebanon. Greetings from Oslo, Norway!

Will need to check out Crown Pastries but you'll need a car to get to the Lawrence East/Birchmount area. Also Scarborough is a more diverse than central Toronto (i.e. downtown/midtown and North York) since homes are "cheaper". Think there are way better restaurant options in the east end too.

Happy for these guys. Let's be clear Baklava is actually Turkish and the best baklava makers tend to come from the south east area of Gazintep , not too far from Syria. As the whole area was under Ottoman rule for hundreds of years the blend of many cultures made foods similar in the areas. If you go to Turkey you will see the Baklava shops that specialize in the beautiful desert.

I also eat around 150g of fat a day so I feel satiated and have no carb cravings.
