you know your a motorhead when the mic smells like 2stroke, sweet bike,
Had a yellow '73 MX360 back in '85. I loved that bike! Just hearing this one run, brought back some good memories! Thanks guys!
Well done Junior, this thing will frighten anyone who rips through all 5.
Had one in 75. My first bike at 15 years old. I promptly flipped it showing off pulling wheelies in front of my Dad. It was a beast.
I love my low hour MX360 popping wheelies or digging trenches. Original, matching numbers and still in its original bore from 73, G'day from Australia 🇦🇺
My favorite Bike of all times.. I'd so love to have a 1973 Yamaha 360MX
I love the 73s. I had the DT100 enduro as a kid.....MISS IT!
That 1973 Yamaha MX 360 is a beautifully sick bike. Looks and sounds very fast. I'd love to ride it! Made the year that I was born. Very well taken care of bike!
Awesome a old pre mono shock pogo stick shock bikes.
At 13yo I was rebuilding DT and TM ,Bultaco,Montessa ,Ossa,Husqvarna ,Rickman all bikes splitting cases rebuilding it all. I learned alot from fixing bikes as a kid and teen. Raced 250 Enduro and MX in NY, NJ, Pa in early mid 1980s Went on to become a Mechanical engineer in Nuclear power field. Still love old bikes. Fiddle with them still.
Good sport and hobby for all young people. Shalom
You're living the dream.
Ken this bike is special to me, it scared me when I would bark on it at 12 years when i was 14 it still scared me i mean this bike is nasty your 490 is the only bike that can beat it. Secretly it’s nastier than the 400 I promise you. I will be 36 in a month and i mis it still.....
I'm 59. I ride an '03 Kawasaki ZRX 1200R. The '73 Yamaha 360 I owned [in the late 70's] is still the scariest thing I've ever ridden. Taught me how to not crash.
The rear shocks are Thermal Flows ! They were waay over spring, waay overdamped and basically didn't work. Like having a rigid rear end in the dirt. However, this bike will fly. Alot of guys used to convert these to open class flat track or scrambles racing. There was also a very cool yellow and black paint combo you could get in the "MX" series. Nice bike.
Hell yeah I had the yellow 74 & it was scary fast , I could beat my buddies YZ 400 in a drag race right up to top end . Those shocks were like you said not very good & I replaced mine with Ohlins if I remember & what a difference it made . Ended up selling it in the late 80s for 500 bucks to buy a 1966 Chevelle SS396 & wish I had both still to this day !
@@peteloomis8456 I don't blame you
.Very sick bike, and I love me some
Chevelles!
Now that sounds like a true 360
I had that model when i was young. I have been looking for one for some time now. can''t afford a reconditiond one. but love to find one that need work. Dave. K.
nice bike I had a mx100 and it was a great trail bike these things are bullet proof
It barks. It also bites. If you get sloppy.
Those were really good bikes fast reliable rear shocks needed better springs & better shock oil and they work good 👍
That's a nice one those were good bikes
Awesome, just bought a RT360, what make's the MX faster ? There's on for sale near me, no title, could be a great donor for me.
Different port layout in the cylinder, different pipe to match the porting and I think a slightly larger carb. The port layout can usually be found in the factory manuals.
You better get serious when you get ready to kick start it.
Had the 80cc with same paint
Theres an sc 500 on craigslist for 3 grand in Dayville
I only saw one in a magazine, Never close up...
