I received mine this week, can't stop playing.... The tones it produces are worth twice the ticket..... Great noodling pal, have fun

Fantastic price and the tone is superb .
I had mine for a month now !
I put a 12ax7 Genalex gold pin tube in V1 and it has plenty of clean gain but expensive !
I put a vintage Mullard in V2 but it made no real difference and might be the EQ gain recovery tube after the bass treble mid controls !
V3 i all ways use a balanced triodes sovtek 12ax7 LPS as they take gain without distorting as others do !
The 70/80 speaker uniquely matches the very warm tone of the amp , i tried a vintage 30 speaker but the 70/80 is good too maybe better !
I play a LP with humbuckers pickups and my gain can be set to 4.5 with little distortion !

Some simple but extremely effective mods that will make you hear your amp like you never thought you would.
    Tubes:
    V1 6n2p-ev (using a 6n2 to 12ax7 adaptor)
    V2 6n2p-ev
    V3 RCA 12at7
    V4 6p14p-k
    V5 6p14p-k
Replace stock reverb tank with MOD 3 spring.
Replace sh***y rca cable for reverb tank.
Rebias the amp as these almost always come VERY cold, 7.5v when 12v is where you want it for EL84s and 10.5 or so is where you want it for 6p14p tubes. The bias pot in the amp has a test point directly next to it, use a meter and carefully set it.
Replace stock speaker with a 12TS8 Electro Harmonix 30watt or 70watt replacement speaker.
This amp sounds 10x better after these, takes an ok amp and makes it great. Also everyone needs to learn how the Tone control works, its like the Vox Tone Cut. So google the Tone Cut and learn how it works so you understand what to do with it.

I have had one for three years now it's a really good amp I put JJ tubes in it and a three spring reverb but you can make some incredible sounds with that amp , you literally can get almost any tone out of it you want
