Unfortunately Service Dog George passed away today. He was an awesome service dog and the "BEST BOY EVER"!! R.I.P. sweet George. You will be missed and loved forever! Heartfelt condolences, love and prayers go out to George's family at this very difficult time! 💕🐾🙏🙏💕

American people are great with therapy dogs thing and animals reckoning. In France we are very late. For instance, it is practically impossible for an autistic child to take with him his dog to shcool.
Do Dogs go to Heaven? There's no doubt in my mind that as one of God's greatest creatures, that George will someday be in Heaven. And though when Bella gets there, she will no longer need George to help her out as her legs will be healed, she will still use him as her "Guide" Dog. There's nothing wrong with that kind of love...
They could have picked a smaller breed that would still be safe for mobility because she is so small. A heavier lab would have even worked. Great danes are great but such a short life span for a working dog. I would be surprised if they got 4-5 years that the dog is physically able to work
You all sound like narrow-minded idiots - this dog chose her!! The bond they share is beautiful & what matters is how he has changed her life and given her such strength & confidence. I hope you all find unconditional love in your obviously miserable lives, you all sound like you need it.

14 years was an exception to the norm. The average lifespan for a great dane is 8 years at best.
