Nice vid, and the E-Type is one of cars you''ll always remember driving. Just to pull you up on one thing; Bob Berry was PR Manager at Jaguar when it was launched in 61, and two E-Types were driven out to Geneva - one by Berry and one by Norman Dewis.
What a beautiful car. It’s always weird when I go to the UK getting used to shifting with my left hand. When I get back to Canada I have the same problem over again not to mention staying on the appropriate side of the road. I’ve never driven a Jag….let alone an E Type. You are privileged to have done so. Really love your channel ...all the best...Chris 🇨🇦
Great video, excellently presented and very natural. Reminds me of the awe inspiring experience of driving my first E type, which was also a 3.8. Keep up the good work !!! A superb channel chaps !😀!
Like going back in time to James May's youth.... Would be good to pair up with a youthful version of Clarkson, though I think Hammond at that time would still be wearing a school cap and blazer, with a catapult in his back pocket... 😄
'...two happy boys with smiling faces...'that sums up the effect a classic car should have. Guaranteed in the case of a 60's Jaguar but then I'm biased
You are good presenters and created quite a nice video. Just a note, when you started it, did they instruct you on the manual choke? It should be eased in, as the engine warms from cold start.
@@selectingneutral Again, GREAT video! You guys are naturals. I did some videos on my channel of my cars, and you are much better than me. I've tried to get my wife to hold the camera, but she has more important things to do.😂! So I just do it myself.
Still one the Most beautiful cars EVER PERIOD, and ALWAYS will be NOTHING can ever surpass an E types beauty, a lot of which comes from C & D types racers of the 50s at LeMans, Jaguar were the first to use disc brakes ( yes some cars as early as 1920s had them, BUT Not in production cars ) Mercedes and Porsche etc at LeMans ( 1955 ) resisted using disc brakes Not trusting them ( they were unproven at that time ) Jaguar won in 1955 LeMans, they were Not faster on the straights BUT could out brake ALL others and dive under them thru the corners!!
That steering wheel is horribly not original. Why would you change the original which is a distinctive beautiful feature of the original design. Beautiful car and colour though.
I am 81yrs and never driven an E type, well done lads, "its just me" but my pet hate is people who sit on cars, love your video's, keep em coming.

Chill vibes + Classic Cars = Quality Entertainment

Twas Norman Dewis who raced the E-Type roadster to Geneva.
My dad owned one many years ago however sold it back in his 30s. He regrets it to this day
An orgasmic car! I was a Jag man have owned tow in my past. Pity you could not let it rip!
Another great vid!
Rob
Wow! what a sound 3:00
This is becoming my favourite TH-cam channel. You guys deserve way more subs!
Takes time for the word to get around...let's all share to many

WTF? why do these cool guys have such a small channel? nice job, greetings from Ukraine))
In Warwick grey. Already spotted the D-Type seats and steering wheel.

I’ve driven a mk2 with a 4.2 xj6 engine in it, the most fun car I’ve ever driven the power and torque are mental
Enjoyed this. Hopefully someone can lend you a 60's Aston , Healey 3000 or Frogeye.
Would be the dream!!

Great video that proves it to me if Jesus ever returned to us he would drive a etype and yes at the start of the video there he was fantastic
Beautiful car! What colour is it? ~Peace
It’s called Warwick Grey ! Original Jag colour ◻️
You lucky guys are spoilt, great upload.
two happy lads yes etypes are a great car
True car guys never sit on the car …
Very jealous right now.
Beautiful. You lucky bastards. 🤓
Weird, doesn't play for me. Everything else does. Black screen with status bar and endlessly spinning circle in the middle.
Oh how odd?
Then use another computer.
7:55 #STALLED #WallOfShame
Especially after digging at yer buddy for not wearing 'proper' footware. #Karma
But, what the hell are you test driving a LHD car ?!? It looks like a bloody french video (OK, it's US)
Haha it’s the only E-Type we could find

More car, less you guys. Couldn't finish it. When the fuel pump kicked on and you nincompoops didn't know what it was, I stopped.
