Just found your channel Brock and subscribed, love the sharing of results! I've found very similar to you - kids books are harder to sell, lower price points, more expensive ads, I still make a few but tend to focus on other ages now - or very specific age ranges with kids like 6-8. Low content 100% a waste of time unless you have an audience/tiktok following and a cool idea.
I had a kid's puzzle book that did good last year, so I did a Volume 2 for the 4th quarter of this year. It's not doing anything. I think the economy's bad, and money has dried up. Another thing I see in America is these discount stores like Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Family Dollar. They sell puzzle books for $1; how do you compete with that? I don't know where their profit is to sell a book for a $1 for a 120-page book, but they do it.
Nice of you staying real and avoiding the usual youtubers fluff about 10k per month and how easily passive income is kdp. Our of curiosity your top sellers are kids books? I'm thinking to enter the coloring book for toddlers broad niche, what's your opinion? Is it too saturated?

Personally i dont like low content. Prices are too low. Profit is weak
