WITHOUT knowing Shanks, that kinda works for head canon. 🤣 For background, I knew nothing before watching the LA and then started the anime. At this juncture, The crew just set sail after the time skip.
the environment looks great bc they shot with practical effects on real water! they built all the boats and everything you see its an insane amount of detail. one of the only environs that is cgi is the introduction of the marine base in shell town during that panning mountain shot
3:37 I’m waiting for the One Piece to just be the ocean. In a way it would make sense, it’s Gold rogers treasure, and like he said in episode one, by telling everyone to go explore the seas, he’s “bringing it to all” he’s literally sharing his treasure with everyone that decided to go looking.
@@Warriorette12 cool, I wonder what he's going to pull out his ass to make it satisfying then because he's made characters that should have no problems finding it, so unless Gol built some kinda sea stone palace under the grand line to hold his treasure, I dunno how satisfied i'm gonna be if i ever see the end of one piece, I so hope it's great though, it's an excellent piece of fantasy.
it is the way to destroy the redline, liberating the seas and the all blue, lowering the water which would take light back to the deep ocean and bring back the lands to unite the word in one piece
the intros, and the wanted/bounty posters are so so so much fun! I originally watched like up to 30 or so episodes, and ended up dropping it, but the live action really has hooked me pretty hard.
Without spoiling anything, episode 4 of the live action, reveals something that was revealed in the anime in the 314th episode. So take that as you will.
Even if the Buggy arc is extremely different from the original and I miss some scenes (I'll get to that in a moment), I have to admit that the Netflix version did Buggy well. Here he's crazy and evil, while in the anime he's actually just a joke character that wasn't to be taken seriously except for maybe 1-2 moments. Scenes I missed was actually: Zoro saves Nami Zoro's stab wound by Kabaji Zoro hurts himself Luffy catches Buggy's hand Besides that, the Netflix Luffy is a tad smarter than the anime version. The lies thing works better, he's swallowed the map and is picking things up faster (like it's not the Navy). But, I enjoy the adventure. Honestly, if you watch the Netflix version first and then watch the buggy arc in the anime, you might be disappointed. ^^"
Also Luffy, Zoro and Koby friendship. It's always been the 3 of them since the start, I haven't really seen Zoro and Koby interact AT ALL in the live action. In Ennis Lobby, seeing the 3 of them talk and chill while the other straw hats aren't familiar with Koby got me a bit emotional, a certain thing Zoro says to Luffy about Koby basically meaning that Koby is their "equal" and shouldn't be underestimated. Real recognize real. (Best way I could word it without spoiling)
Regarding Buggy, 1. I love the LA Buggy. 2. I don't say this often, but in Buggy's case, Therapy is definitely something that I would recommend. Garp NEVER...nope, we gonna wait until episode 4 to see. I never thought that it would be this difficult to hold in spoilers. I'm only 522 episodes in. I'll say this, you're gonna LOVE the continuing story. Shanks scaring off the Sea King that chomped his arm, in the anime, turned more into a Scooby Doo villain running for their lives. It is one of the moments where I think the LA did it better. Shanks is well...Shanks. You mentioned a spinoff of Zoro, F that! Give me a spinoff of Shanks, Garp, and Mihawk. It puts the snail in its ear or else it gets the sea again. (Sorry. I had to.) Awesome reaction. Glad you're enjoying the world as well as the LA version.
I started watching One Piece because there was nothign better on TV. It was good but it wasn't mind blowing. But when the Arlong Arc came around and "that scene" happened: From that moment on, I was all in. I really liked your review so far and being up to date with the whole story and listening to your own remarks, I can tell, you will love what lies ahead of you ^^
"He can control Sea King with just his words??" Well you are not caught up with One Piece so you don't understand the supernatural abilities that only few people possess.
Who knows .. maybe Oda goes to bed every night thinking : Damn, and i still have no idea what the One Piece will be, so i better writer another 1000 Episodes. Just like George R.R. Martin thought : damn, i have no idea how i should end that shit, so i let those TV guides make it, and if they make it good i can end my books, and if not, the readers have to wait another 10-20 years 😄😄
There will necessarily be CGI for Chopper because of his transformations. But it is true that choosing his human form for moments outside of combat would be wiser and above all would cost less. Money is money.
Well that control. I won't explain but Shanks used a kind of technique/power called "haki". You will know more about this. If you already know, you might know Shanks used a special kind of Haki :) About Shanks where he got the strawhat, it is from someone special to him who gave him that heart :) if you know you'll be happy for Luffy.
All I wanna say is that Garp’s character is VERY different here than in the anime. You will probably love Garp more as you get through the anime than here (I think they made him kinda harsh)
He's def one of the better type of reactioner, some people will look at their phones or talk over the show, it's sooooo annoying. Or say nothing just play the show dead faced.
“Shanks the devil fruit dealer” that’s a first for me 😂

Yeah saw lots of reactions already that it makes them wanna watch the anime
The first timers loved it
That’s the purpose of an adaptation. 😊
It has, I'm one of them XD
"Ya'll gotta know more about Shanks" pfffft XD i like your funny words magic man
That Shanks passing down the strawhat to Luffy scene made me tear up.
Jeff Ward killed it as Buggy

Oda has said he hates metaphorical stuff like that and the One Piece is a real, physical treasure
