How to reset radio om 2009 Mercedes GL450 Google: after dead battery the radio displays please wait. After replacing battery radio said please wait. Nothing happens.

@@Ali-Ahmedmeher I'm have the antitheft words on after battery and ezi switch replaced the guy said he programed ezi switch with the new key but radio, saids anti theft ,only work for half of a second when you turn key on ,then anti theft comes ....
@@kristiclemmer6544 just call your dealership, provide the vin number and they will give you security code for stereo, punch in the code and the system will not say anti theft after that. That is the so called "reprogramming" as stealerships call it.
Excellent! Took 10 minutes including wait time. I looked at several MB boards before finding this video....many were clueless telling you needed to enter security code or pull fuses or fasten loose cables on radio. NOPE....just follow this video! thx so much!
It actually works!!! I have had the device unavailable message for a month now. Radio stopped working after my battery went flat. Thank you sooo much!!
This exactly right: if you are stuck in a "WAIT" mode for long time, insert your car key and turn it in position 2, do not start the car, leave it like that for an hour , it will bring your radio back to "CODE" mode, now you can enter the accurate code.
Great video. Would this fix the volume knob too. The volume can only be changed by the buttons on the steering wheel. The volume knob is completely dead.
Nice video!! I have a 2002 E220 W212. I discover that If I take off fuse F06 (40A for audio module located in the trunk) this will reset my radio. Maybe it works on other Mercedes aswell?
my 2011 gl450 is doing something wierd the radio works satnav functions but am and fm options dont work and the sat radio isnt working the fan doesnt come on in the module at all and the only thing it says when i click on radio or sat nav or media device is it reads device unavailable
Awesome. Wonder if this great reset for a MBZ radio module will work for a screen that has gone to horizontal lines mostly black? Anybody. Or if have to buy a new head for the dash.

Hi, I have a 2007 Gl450 and there is no audio/sound from the radio/cd. The command turns on fine and appears to be running fine both on radio and cd but there is no sound from any of the speakers. Before there would be sound for about a min when starting in the morning and then nothing. Now there isn't any sound at all. I pulled almost every module in the car and opened it up to check for water damage--none found anywhere. Only one fault code: "incorrect can message from control unit n80" which is the steering control module. I replaced the clockspring and the module above the clockspring with OEM units from the dealer. Still there is no sound. I'm guessing the fault might be in a wire or a ground connection somewhere. Any thoughts? Where can I get the wiring diagram for the CAN bus for this car? I did try disconnecting the satellite radio module but the problem is still there. Any ideas? Thank you.
Very helpful.Would've never solved it myself. Mine a little different because of rear video system. radio buried under another chassis. What would have been really helpful if would have continued on showing how to remove connectors.Each one has a trigger location for removal They are a bitch!
